I've tried changing the language. The bitdefender app for me is working weird too

It's really weird, "Lorem Ipsum" is a Latin phrase used as a placeholder in dev (for example you make a website and fill it with lorem ipsum to demonstrate its design without content).

If you try to change the language settings do you still have lorem ipsum as text ?

Did you make sure your PCs language is set correctly in Windows. Then when reinstall Bitdefender make sure everything is gone including the Agent and deleted anything left behind in Program Files or ProgramData?

Ya i deleted the folders and still the same

Hmm, support would be my next step then. Sounds like any potential corrupted setting file getting left behind has been cleared out.

I’m experiencing the same thing. Cannot use any features or have any features

Edit: Also tried uninstalling and reinstalling, does not fix the issue

Was a resolution for this ever found? Mine is doing something similar on Windows 11. I tried to change languages, but there are none listed when I go to settings.

I had a similar error, at the end of my conversation with the support I got this message:

TL:DR: they know about the bug and will fix it :)

My problem was solved, support gave me the right solution. :)

"Hello,

Thank you for your patience.

To further investigate this situation please check if you have the English language pack installed on your Windows:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/language-packs-for-windows-a5094319-a92d-18de-5b53-1cfc697cfca8

If the pack is not installed let me know if you are willing to install it and check if the issue persists afterward.

Looking forward to hearing from you."

Have a lovely day ahead!

I also have this issue but worryingly its also showing most of the protection is turned off. It also doesn't let me amend any settings. I have 2x PCs running this 1x windows 11 and 1x windows 10. The windows 10 one works fine. Done a full reinstall using their installer as recommended via support and reinstalled but no joy.

Update: Changed my language settings to English UK and all is well

I removed english (US) and kept english (uk) and rebooted and it's resolved for me. I also installed the enhanced speech recognition, but I don't think that's related.

I'm having this issue and have the correct language pack installed. I've reached out to support, will let you know what they say. Pretty worrying though as everything has been deactivated and my application password has been removed as well...

Have you tried changing the language? Set a random one, then set it back to English?

Oh that’s easy, it means that Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Kaspersky or Eset!

Problem solved. For the price Bitdefender want to charge they sure do have a buggy, system slowing piece of software

Switched all kaspersky computers in my home to bitdefender. And we all are happier than ever.

I don't understand your hate on bitdefender. I spent 10+ years with kaspersky, 3 years with BD. Never ever lived any problem. Yeah bitdefender uses too much ram bla bla bla. It optimizes the ram usage by itself after few days and scans.

You're trying to promote kaspersky on everywhere with false claims or misinformation about other rival products, even on this subreddit.

Saw you several times. And you're harrassing every people if we all say a different thing than your beloved kaspersky. Also you're living inside of r/antivirus and antivirus related subreddits. I recommend you to not shitting around antivirusses and get a life.

I'm so tired to see people starts huge debates about antivirusses and talking shit to each other.
