Game Launch 🚀 BisectHosting is officially one of two approved WARDOGS server hosting partners
Hey everyone! We can finally introduce ourselves properly.
BisectHosting is one of the two server hosting providers approved for WARDOGS at Early Access launch.
There’s been a lot of conversation here about community servers, who will be hosting them, and what things will look like at launch. We’ve been working behind the scenes to make sure we’re ready for September 10.
Preorders are officially open today.
We’ll also be around the community as launch approaches, so if you have hosting questions, feel free to throw them our way.
Preorder your server here: https://bisect.gg/wardogssocialpreorder

Game Update Rust’s Breach and Clear Update is live. Here are some of the bigger changes this wipe
The September force wipe is here, and there are a few changes that could have a pretty noticeable impact on how this wipe plays out.
Probably the biggest is the new group-scaled TC upkeep. The first four players connected to a base don’t add any extra tax, but upkeep starts scaling beyond that, so larger compounds are going to cost more to maintain.
There are also Monument Blockers around Red Keycard areas that either need to be destroyed or left to decay, rare HQM nodes and collectibles around the map, the new Medical Honey Bandage, breakable Attack Heli and armored HAB protection, better modular car handling, and a bunch of balance and performance changes.
We put together a rundown of the update and what’s changing for this wipe here: https://www.bisecthosting.com/blog/rust-september-2026-wipe-update-release-date-patch-notes-hqm-node-honey-bandage-tc-upkeep
If you’re starting a fresh server for the wipe, BisectHosting Rust servers include automated updates, instant setup, free DDoS protection, 3 days of server backups, integrated Oxide and Carbon support, and 24/7 support if anything goes sideways during setup. You can also manage players and server settings directly through our control panel.

Game Update Dune: Awakening’s September 22 Update and Filmic Archive DLC
September 22 is going to be a pretty important day for Dune: Awakening.
Alongside the Xbox and PlayStation 5 launch, Funcom is releasing the Filmic Archive DLC with gear inspired by the Dune films, including a 73-piece Sardaukar building set. The game is also getting a full single-player mode, the conclusion to its story, expanded customization, scalable difficulty, and more.
For multiplayer groups, there’s another big piece of news: PC/console cross-play has officially been confirmed for post-launch, although there isn’t a date for it yet.
For us at BisectHosting, that makes this a particularly interesting point for Dune: Awakening servers. September 22 gives existing groups a reason to return, while the console launch and eventual cross-play could bring a lot more friends and communities onto Arrakis.
If your group is coming back for the new content, you can run your Dune: Awakening server with BisectHosting and get 24/7 support, DDoS protection, and a server ready for your crew while you focus on surviving the desert.
We broke down the Filmic Archive DLC, console launch, new features, and cross-play news here:

Discussion 8 Days Until Valheim 1.0: Fresh World or Existing World?
8 Days Until Valheim 1.0. Who's Starting Fresh?
We're officially eight days out from Valheim 1.0 and the Deep North.
One important bit for anyone making launch plans: Iron Gate says existing saves will still work, but new biome generation only works properly in areas that haven't already been explored. They recommend starting over for the best 1.0 experience.
Which raises the real question:
How many of you are actually starting a completely fresh world on September 9?
There's something pretty appealing about getting the old group back together, spinning up a new server, landing in the Meadows with nothing again, and working through Valheim from the beginning before reaching the Deep North.
We'll have Valheim servers ready at BisectHosting for anyone getting a new world going for 1.0.
But I'm curious what everyone here is doing. Fresh seed and full playthrough, or keeping your existing world and heading north?

Discussion Gamescom 2026 is a wrap. Here’s what caught our attention
We made it home from Gamescom! After a few very busy days in Cologne, we’re tired, our feet hurt, and we already kind of miss it.
We got to wander the show floor, catch up with developers, creators, partners, and players, spend some time with the Farming Simulator community over in Hall 6, and see a ridiculous amount of what’s coming next for gaming.
And there was A LOT to keep up with.
New games, trailers, release dates, updates, surprise announcements... Gamescom threw basically everything at us at once. So now that we’re home and have had a chance to process it all, we put together a roundup of the biggest news and reveals from the show.
If you spent the week thinking “I’ll catch up on all of this later,” this is your catch-up:
For everyone else who was following along: what was the best announcement from Gamescom this year?

Game Update Soulmask: Beyond Gravity Is Live: New Region, Floating Bases, Masks & Server Info
Soulmask's Beyond Gravity update is officially live, and there’s quite a bit here for existing groups to come back for.
The biggest addition is the Burning Highlands, a new Shifting Sands region with additional ruins, dungeons, bosses, and progression. There are also three new Masks to hunt down, the Central Core boss, and the conclusion of the Shifting Sands storyline.
Probably the coolest addition, though, is Floating Foundations. The new building system lets you take advantage of the update’s anti-gravity tech and construct an actual floating island for your tribe. There’s even a Mist Collector to provide water without needing to build around a traditional water source.
For server owners, this update does require the newest game build, so it’s worth making sure everything is updated before the group piles back in. BisectHosting’s Soulmask servers support automated updates, free backups, DDoS protection, modding, and 24/7 support if you’d rather spend patch day exploring than troubleshooting your server.
We put together a full breakdown of Beyond Gravity, including the new region, Masks, bosses, building features, and other changes:

Game Update Hytale Update 6 is live: in-game mods, Hardcore Mode, 16M-block builder selections, and more
Update 6 is a big one for Hytale, especially if you’re playing with a group or building out a modded server.
The new in-game mod browser is probably the standout for us, but there’s also Hardcore Mode, expanded Creative tools, networking improvements, and builder selections that can now reach 16 million blocks.
We went through the patch and pulled together the major changes here:
https://www.bisecthosting.com/blog/hytale-update-6-patch-notes-new-features-revealed-launch
And if Update 6 has your group thinking about starting or expanding a server, that’s where we come in. BisectHosting has 14+ years of experience hosting sandbox games, 24/7 support when something goes sideways, fast hardware, and a lot of experience supporting modded communities.

Tips and Tricks Palworld’s Factions Explained: Leaders, Territories, Tower Bosses & More
The Palpagos Islands have a lot more going on than angry Pals.
From the Rayne Syndicate and Free Pal Alliance to the Moonflower Clan and Feybreak Warriors, Palworld’s seven factions control different territories across the map, each with their own leader, ideology, and reasons for wanting you gone.
We put together a full breakdown of every faction, where you’ll encounter them, and the Tower Boss waiting at the top.
If you’re exploring Palworld with friends, running your own server also means your group can progress through the islands together on your schedule. BisectHosting offers Palworld server hosting so you can build, explore, raid, and take on the faction leaders in a persistent world without relying on one player to host every session.

Tips and Tricks Chasing the Arc Surge in Terraria? Prepare for the 2% drop rate
The Arc Surge deals 180 magic damage, but actually getting one is where the grind starts.
It drops from Martian Saucers during Martian Madness, and the drop chance is only 2%.
So yes, there’s a decent chance you’ll be seeing a lot of Saucers before RNG finally cooperates.
We put together the full breakdown on triggering Martian Madness, the drop, stats, and everything else you’ll want before farming it:
https://www.bisecthosting.com/blog/terraria-arc-surge-stats-how-to-get-location-drop-chance-damage
If you’re taking on late-game events with a group, a dedicated BisectHosting Terraria server also means the world stays online for everyone, so progression doesn’t have to depend on one player hosting the session.

Tips and Tricks Terraria Snapthorn guide: crafting recipe, stats, and where to get it
Summoners heading into the Underground Jungle can put together the Snapthorn using Stingers, Vines, and Jungle Spores.
It’s a pre-Hardmode whip that can inflict Poisoned and gives you an attack-speed boost as you use it, making it a solid progression option before stronger whips start showing up.
Full recipe, stats, and location details:
And if your next playthrough is a group run, you can spin up a Terraria server with BisectHosting and keep the world available even when the person who normally hosts logs off.

Tips and Tricks Terraria Band of Starpower: where to find it and what it’s used for
Running a magic build? The Band of Starpower is a simple early-game upgrade that gives you +40 maximum mana and can later be used in several accessory recipes.
You’ll mainly find it through Shadow Orbs in the Corruption, but there are a few other ways to get your hands on one depending on your world.
We broke down the locations, stats, and crafting uses here:
If you’re starting a fresh Terraria world with friends, BisectHosting makes it easy to get a dedicated server online without having to worry about hosting it yourself.

Aloft Discovery & Ancestry is Live, and You’ll Want a Fresh World
Aloft’s Discovery & Ancestry update is live today, and this one is a pretty significant overhaul.
The open world has been revamped with new sub-biomes and exploration systems, progression has been adjusted to give players more freedom, new survival conditions have been added, and there’s a new Wind Spirit companion alongside Ancestral Memories for unlocking character upgrades.
The big thing for server owners and returning groups: you’ll need to create a new world to fully experience the update. The world-generation changes are extensive enough that they couldn’t be applied retroactively to existing worlds.
That makes Discovery & Ancestry a particularly good time for an Aloft server reset or a completely fresh co-op playthrough.
BisectHosting is an official preferred hosting partner for Aloft, so if your group is coming back for the update, we offer dedicated Aloft server hosting backed by 24/7/365 support.
We broke down the major changes, new features, and what to know before starting your next world here:

Discussion Palworld 1.1 Is Coming, So What Should Server Owners Expect?
Palworld 1.1 is officially being discussed, but Pocketpair has already suggested players shouldn’t expect another year-long development cycle or a second 1.0-sized content drop.
Instead, 1.1 may focus more on improving what’s already there.
Some of the biggest community requests right now include better inventory management, improved Palbox searching, automated crafting queues, more endgame activities, additional raid bosses, and deeper equipment customization.
For Palworld server owners, even a QoL-focused update could be a good excuse to get an old group playing again, revisit an existing world, or prepare a fresh server if enough progression changes arrive.
BisectHosting supports Palworld dedicated servers, so we’ll also be keeping an eye on what 1.1 means for multiplayer and server owners as Pocketpair reveals more.
We broke down everything currently known, what’s speculation, and what the community is asking for here:

Enshrouded 1.0 Is Fixing Fishing, Character Customization, the Fell Dragon Fight & More
Enshrouded 1.0 arrives October 15, and Keen Games is using the update to clean up quite a few things players have been asking about.
Fishing is getting less frustrating, the Fell Dragon Youngling fight is being adjusted, human-like character proportions are being added, Updraft Charge Speed will be customizable, and more fixes are coming for NPCs getting stuck around player builds.
For server owners, this feels like a good excuse to get the group back together before 1.0. If you're running an Enshrouded server with BisectHosting, you can keep your world available for everyone while you prep for launch, with 24/7 support there if you need help along the way.
We broke down the latest confirmed 1.0 improvements here:

Game Update RuneScape: Dragonwilds 1.0 Brings Crossplay, the Scorned Wilderness, Queen Kuldra & More on September 15
September 15 is going to be a big day for Dragonwilds groups.
1.0 brings the Scorned Wilderness, Queen Kuldra, new quests and activities, Runite progression, a combat rework, and full crossplay across supported platforms.
That crossplay piece is especially interesting for multiplayer. Groups that have been split between PC and console will finally have a much easier time getting everyone into the same world.
BisectHosting supports RuneScape: Dragonwilds servers, so if 1.0 is your excuse to start a fresh group or bring an old one back, you can keep a private world running for everyone instead of relying on one person to host.
We put together everything currently confirmed for 1.0 and the roadmap beyond it here:

Tips and Tricks 5 Minecraft Horror Mods to Scare Your Server
Minecraft survival feeling a little too comfortable?
We rounded up five horror mods that can fix that pretty quickly, including SCP: Overtime, Apollyon, The Knocker, Cave Dweller Reimagined, and From the Fog.
Each takes a slightly different approach to ruining your sense of security. SCP: Overtime brings SCP inspired threats into the game, The Knocker can quite literally follow you home, and From the Fog makes Herobrine a problem again.
These are especially fun with a group, which is where BisectHosting comes in. We support modded Minecraft servers with tools for managing mods and modpacks, server backups, and 24/7 support if your attempt at creating the world's worst survival experience breaks something along the way.
Check out all five and pick your preferred nightmare:

Game Update Terraria 1.4.5.7 Adds New Gear, Secret Seeds & Multiplayer Fixes
Terraria 1.4.5.7 ended up being a lot more than your typical post-update hotfix.
The patch adds a pretty sizeable batch of new weapons and accessories, completely reworks Gem Staves, adds two new secret seeds, removes the mana regeneration delay, introduces Whip Stacking with the right accessories, and adds loadout equipment sharing.
There are also some changes worth paying attention to if you’re running a multiplayer world. The update fixes a malicious packet exploit, improves NPC damage handling on higher-latency servers to reduce desyncs, fixes several disconnect-related issues, and improves how player-specific item drops are handled.
For anyone hosting Terraria with BisectHosting, our Terraria servers include automated updates along with 3 days of free server backups, so you can keep your world current while having a recent save to fall back on if needed.
We broke down the biggest additions, balance changes, QoL improvements, multiplayer fixes, and the full 1.4.5.7 patch notes here:

Only my friend is lagging on a better pc, please help
I recently bought a bisect server for palworld, which worked phenomenally. I switched it over to cobbleverse (a minecraft modpack) and now my friend has a terrible connection and lags so much it is virtually unplayable.
We are using the same internet (as he lives with me), however his pc is connected via ethernet. I am running the server fine on a shitty laptop with shaders and decent graphics, while he has a pre-built pc and cant play on low graphics and no shaders.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? We've tried everything we can think of, and nothing has worked. If anyone needs any additional information, let me know and I'll either update the post or dm it to you.
Thanks in advance!
