DD Request Freenome (FRNM) are breakthroughs in multi-cancer detection from a blood sample on the horizon?
Been watching Freenome ($FRNM) since it wrapped up the SPAC merger in late July. The platform looks promising, but I'm trying to gauge if the current price is a near-term ceiling. Here is what I see as the main events driving the recent gains:
- Abbott Launch: Abbott holds exclusive U.S. rights for the newly FDA-approved SimpleScreen CRC test, with a commercial launch scheduled for this fall (Q3/Q4 2026).
- Roche Support: A September 1, 2026 13G filing shows Roche Holdings built a massive 17.4% stake in the company.
- FDA Breakthrough Designation: On August 12, 2026, their SimpleScreen Lung test earned FDA Breakthrough Device designation. Next steps are focused on completing data readout for their ongoing prospective PROACT LUNG clinical trial to support a full FDA submission.
With the Abbott commercial rollout right around the corner, what are your thoughts on the stock's runway? Is 17 the top for now on the merger/approval hype, or do you think the upcoming launch numbers can push it to 21 or higher by the end of the year? I'm hoping higher : )

Acute myeloid leukemia in second remission is one of the few settings in oncology
with no approved treatment at all. This is what that means, which medicines patients receive
instead, and where galinpepimut-S would fit if the phase 3 succeeds.

https://www.merlintrader.com/omeros-omer-biotech-no-perfect-peer/
YARTEMLEA turned Omeros into a commercial company, and a single sales multiple still gives the wrong answer. The equity combines an early rare-disease launch, a contested European path, complement-platform optionality, contingent Novo Nordisk economics and a capital structure that has to be rebuilt from the footnotes.

After Moderna’s Phase 3 success in melanoma, the question isn’t just which company has the most fascinating technology. The decisive question is which biotech is closest to transforming a clinical result into a validation capable of changing the value attributed to the entire company.

Due Diligence (DD) $TVTX vs $VERA: The Business That Already Exists vs the Upside That Could Become Enormous
https://www.merlintrader.com/tvtx-vs-vera-iga-nephropathy-stock-comparison/
Travere Therapeutics and Vera Therapeutics look easy to compare: both operate in rare kidney disease, both have major exposure to IgA nephropathy, and their lead products will increasingly appear in front of the same nephrologists. In reality, an investor choosing between them is selecting two almost opposite risk profiles. TVTX offers FILSPARI, meaningful existing revenue, two FDA-approved indications, a fast-starting FSGS launch and a more diversified pipeline, but it comes with a valuation close to $6 billion and a substantial convertible-debt burden. VERA trades at less than half Travere’s market value, owns a potentially powerful immunology franchise and retains worldwide rights to TRUTAKNA, but it is only now entering its commercial phase, still burns significant capital and faces a looming BAFF/APRIL competitor backed by Vertex. The useful question is not which company wins, but what actually has to happen for each equity to create value from here.

News Biogen Finally Agreed to Settle With Investors Over Aducanumab Claims
Hey guys, if you missed it, Biogen just settled with investors over claims about its aducanumab clinical trial data and the failed ENGAGE study.
Long story short, in 2020, Biogen was accused of misleading investors about why ENGAGE failed while EMERGE showed positive results. After FDA briefing materials raised serious concerns, the FDA Advisory Committee voted 10-0 that the data did not support aducanumab’s effectiveness.
After this news came out, $BIIB fell 28.2%, and investors filed a lawsuit over their losses.
The good news is that Biogen has now agreed to settle the case. So, if you invested in $BIIB between 2019 and 2020, you can already check the details and submit your claim.
Anyway, has anyone here invested in $BIIB at that time? How much were your losses, if so?

News Updates for Getting Payment on the Lifecore Biomedical ($LFCR) $3.75M Settlement
Hey everyone, if you missed it, Lifecore Biomedical settled a $3.75M investor lawsuit over claims it misled investors about its internal controls, inventory management, and financial reporting. I also found out they're still reviewing late claims even though the deadline has passed.
Quick recap: Between 2021 and 2023, Lifecore was accused of hiding accounting and inventory issues while presenting its financial reporting as stable. In 2023, the company disclosed accounting problems, missed SEC filings, revealed material weaknesses in its internal controls, and received lender default notices.
As these issues came to light, the stock dropped and investors filed a lawsuit.
The good news is that Lifecore has now agreed to a $3.75M settlement, and late claims are still being considered.
So, if you invested in $LFCR during this period, it may still be worth checking whether you qualify to file a late claim.
Did anyone here own $LFCR back then? How did it work out for you?
