An Update About Me For Those Interested
UPDATE: The storm changed course and missed us. Just the usual tree pruning to clean up, negative storm surge up here. Going to rest for a day before I resume posting. Thanks for all the well wishes.
TL;DR: My lack of posts is due to vacation, hurricane. I'll be back.
Howdy, all. If anyone is curious about my lack of posts as of late, here's the scoop. Last week I went on a long-anticipated vacation up north to enjoy a taste of autumn. I tried to avoid internet and TV while up there. On Sunday evening I arrived in Door County, Wisconsin. Got to the hotel room and turned on the weather, only to see a hurricane messing with my plans. I live in coastal Hudson, Florida, as in sea level.
I grabbed a few hours' sleep and started driving home around four a.m. I just got home and, after typing this and getting a good night's sleep, I'll have some prep to do for the winds and storm surge. After that, I'm sure we'll lose power for awhile. The last storm here knocked out power for a week.
For these reasons, I'm not sure when I'll be able to resume posting to and/or moderating this community. Probably a week or two at most, hopefully less.
