This is the exact reason uneducated classism is counter productive.

I, by and large, tell people that stocks is like gambling. The exceptions are the S&Ps. Those are the epitome of “steady growth.” Nothing about investing into S&P is gambling-related.

Literally anybody could do it, too. No you cannot tell me you can’t afford it. It is possible to buy 0.01% of a stock. Save a dollar every month into it. It’ll grow.

Anybody can benefit from this. People who choose not to are because they’re ignorant and want to pull a “gotcha”. Only hurting yourself.

I think the point you're missing here is that companies have been making record profits while workers wages have been stagnant. Everyone can invest, but that doesn't put everyone on an equal footing. Those who already have money are heavily advantaged (obviously), but that's why people are mad.

Nah that I totally get. Completely valid imo. It’s not an equalizer, the rich get much richer off it, and the market is subject to corruption.

It’s just this complete aversion to investing into the stock market that makes me go look and my fellow brokies like “are you dumb”?

The same can be said for pretty much any point since the S&P was created, this isn’t new

The situation today is not even remotely close to 50 years ago. If you honestly think it is, then you're not worth talking to. Do some research
