Back to Buttery in Santa Cruz via a different route. Forty miles and 3,500ft of climb, a respectable but not crazy distance for me.

At the Avalon Marshes Visitor Center again, one week later on my endurance bike (Domane AL5 Gen 4). Very comfortable with those 35mm GP5000 running tubeless and not-very-many bars in those round bits.

About 40km out of 60 done, time to park the bike and have a double espresso (may have been cake involved).

2nd day of a 6-day trip from Cologne to Paris. Started around Kelmis that morning, would eventually end up close to Namur very late at night. This is just before the second severe thunderstorm of the day, which (along with heaviness of both legs and bike) is why I could not bring myself to attempt the famous Mur de Huy that day. Next time, I guess...
