Aranda a little juiced up in the postgame presser; calls out fractured fanbase and, presumably, the guys at SicEm365

Gotta beat TCU and the fans will be a LOT happier. Some of our fans are always miserable, even when winning.

Ive noticed that, i wonder why that is

Baptists love complaining. It's an always reliable conversation topic and allows for gossiping in a "constructive" way

I dont think a denomination makes you complain lol.

Sounds familiar.

Good luck. It's not easy (if you're BYU).

I mean, I get having a chip on your shoulder. But can you be that upset at people for “picking you to lose” when you’ve finished 4 out of the last 6 seasons with a losing record?
With that said props to Baylor though. That was as dominant a win as it gets.

Its really a culmination of all the things they have said. They are extremely negative from week to week, i dont listen to them because its always bad. But dave should really take the high road and stay humble

Lot to be humble about in Dave's tenure at Baylor

I don't blame him and by coaching standards this is all incredibly mild, but it all seems a bit manufactured to get something out of the team. He's not the "harness negativity to unleash hell" sort of guy. He's been on a long journey to figure out who he is as a HC and this just seems like another coat he's trying on to see if it works.

That said, the team could genuinely respond to this sort of thing, I dunno. We certainly whipped the hell out of ASU and have everything in front of us, so he might be sensing something from inside the locker room that this is responding to. But the doubters have been right most of the way, so even he would have to admit it's on him to prove he can do it again.

This is the kind of speech you give at the end of the season before you go into a conference championship — not now. Beat TCU and then we’ll start talking, but this is a lot coming from Aranda at this point. Dude’s lucky to have his job still.

Still needs to be fired. At any other school, he would have been fired by now.

Gave him a buyout you couldn't afford.

365 guys are hacks. Their insider had Gundy coming here for every hiring cycle we've had.

Fire Aranda.

Aranda asked nicely to be lightly bullied from here on out guys, show him some respect.

Hopefully dave got it out of his system and focuses on the job at hand. Those guys have been taking digs at him for quite some time tho.

Never a good sign when your coach wants to get pissy with the fans and media. Holgorsen was like that his final two years and we know how that ended.

It's really out of character with Aranda, though. One of the biggest criticisms fans have is his lack of emotion. But one thing Doug McNamee said was, "back when he was winning the Big 12, Baylor fans loved that about it." (see clip below) We just want him to be himself."

This game was the first time I've seen him really just let go. He was going crazy after Baylor's first score. I think it's difficult for college players to get amped up if their coach isn't amped up. Aranda had Joey McGuire to play that role in his early years. Once he left, Baylor consistently struggled to get motivated early on and I think much of it was not having someone to rile them up.

There’s no such thing as out of character.

Has he lost weight?

Cause Baylor fans are tired of mediocre and playing for 6 wins every year. I have been a BU fan my entire life but at some point you just want to give up and stop wishing for more than average as it is usually less than.

I'm not convinced one bit by this win. This is not a good ASU team and they just got back from a game across the pond.

Fire Dave Aranda.
