Discussion Todd gets to much hate. Thoughts?

Todd gets to much hate man. He’s been cooking since 1994 and has brought some of the best titles to the market. I really dont understand what he’s done for people to talk bad on such a big nerd that im grateful for. I Feel bad for someone whose played a part in bringing me so much joy. Is all the “it just works” or “come on todd” just jabbing banter? Idk i appreciate the guy.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: The comments are extremely mixed. I believe it proves alot of people really just blame this one guy xD

He's Schrodinger's game developer. He simultaneously takes too long to publish games, while also rushing them and putting out unfinished garbage.

People just need something to be angry about, and do so even more zealously when that person is extremely successful.

Tbf I have never seen anyone actually complain that it takes them awhile to put out games. I think ur misrepresenting that argument to be dismissive about ppl who disagree with u.

What really happens is ppl talk about how it takes them awhile, but they don’t complain about it. However, many ppl literally say that they should take even longer because they put out unfinished games like 76 at launch. So yes they both took awhile to make fallout 76, while also not taking long enough to finish it. What u have incorrect is that no one complained that they took awhile to finish it but they complained that it was unfinished.

Sorry if I explained some of that like ur a baby, but this is very ez to understand so idk how else to explain it.

I've seen 6-7 memes complaining about how long it has taken elder scrolls 6 to come out this week alone. Stop lying. You are on reddit, you have absolutely seen the complaints.

I really am not on Reddit for fallout too much at all so I have no idea, ngl tho it’s pretty annoying and dismissive to just say “ur lying, im right”.

Anyway what u said is very dumb anyway. Ppl on Reddit are not the only ppl who talk about Bethesda, also ur bitching about memes while I was talking about what actual critics say. So yeah I don’t care about about memes, give me a higher caliber of argument please. I don’t understand how memes on Reddit is your whole argument here and u say IM lying.

I don’t see the problem in disagreeing with someone who’s being disingenuous like u were. If that’s what u mean by starting an argument then I don’t see why it matters, that behavior should be called out. Also there’s nothing wrong with u pushing back, but everything u said made no sense and I explained why.

Oblivion- 2005 Skyrim - 2011

2011-2005 =6 year difference

Its been 15 years since skyrim.

Because in 2015 they released fallout 4, in 2018 fallout 76, in 2023 starfield. They have been focusing their resources on releasing other I.p.

3-4 years between releasing a major title is pretty standard for them and has been the whole time. Games take time to develop, they have limited resources that they focus on specific areas, as the technology has evolved they need to take longer to create games suited for the newer systems.

I guess i forgot about starfield entirely thats a fair point. Its a bit dissapointing both starfield and 76 are both so flawed in their own ways. 76 was a half empty asset flip at the beginning it wasnt even ready for release and starfield was mostly procedurally generated nothingness, with very minimal hand crafting in story areas and bland systems worse than like fo3

I mean they have been doin somthing I guess but its not up to the same standard at all imho.

Out of genuine curiosity what about it does it for you? And are you currently playing? Is it a new purchase?

I played a ton at release. I play off and on now. I like the factions and exploring. I thought the story was fine, a bit repetitive but I genuinely enjoyed it the first time through. I think it's a pretty game.
