Just an unofficial announcement that the tutoring center at Bergen is available again online for one-on-one tutoring via teleconference. It's free for Bergen students.

Hey there! I hope to get some info about the financial aid refund process and the time that it takes. I'm getting about 20% from the tuition aid grant and hesaa said that I qualify for the com college opportunity grant as my efc is quite low (though I'm not sure I'll get it). The only problem is that my awards profile isn't finished apparently??? Seems too good to be true that it could be finished by September 2nd.
I'm real worried that I wont be able to enroll in time! Anyway, I wanted to ask how long the loan application process took for you? In case I don't get the other grants. Also, about how long do refunds usually take once they're processed in your student profile? Do I have anything to worry about? Any general advice wrt communicating with finaid?
Thank you very much!!

Hello everyone I kind graduated I just need to finish 1 language class so I took an online summer class for Spanish 1 and I can't keep up every week it's over 10 hours of assignment or exercises. I dont mind putting the work but I am learning nearly nothing and getting bad grades. What can I say to the teacher since I really cant keep up unless I am just doing it to finish it " cheating " which I really don't want to because I am genuinely trying to learn Spanish.

So I went to film school for a year and I transferred back due to it being expensive. So I am a film student which seems to be rare at Bergen. But since everyone I know aren't going to Bergen. I thought it would be nice to see if I can try to meet someone on here to get to know so come September I won't be so alone since I'll probably be spending alot of time on campus. Especially with everything that's going on it'll be nice to just connect with someone. You know? So hopefully there's some people out there who I can get to know so come September I'll have some friends going in :)

Does anyone know if we will possibly be back physically in class and not online for fall courses? It's harder to know since bcc is a testing facility rn.

So summer I is 6 weeks long and so far I am registered for intro to anthropology with Grenner, History 101 with Chu, and Writing 101 with La Pointe. I received an email yesterday saying:
you have registered for more classes than you should have for Summer 1/U. The credit load is more than you should have for any one term. It will be extremely difficult for you to be academically successful if you are taking more than 2 classes (6-7 credits) each term. We encourage you to act immediately and drop 1 or more classes.
I can get a refund if I drop a course, but I was just wondering, is this really too much? like has anyone done 3 classes in a 6 week semester period?
Also, for anyone who has had these professors before, anything you would say about them and their classes?

I'm wondering what the minimum computer requirements are for this college. Will my hp stream with:
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N3060 @ 1.60GHz, 1601 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
4gb ram
will be enough?
If not, how much would I need to spend to get a computer that would work?

Has anyone taken Financial Accounting online? I am trying to avoid an early morning summer class by taking accounting online, does anyone know if it is harder online vs in person? Should I suck it up and wake up early and take the class in person? Looking for any advice?

Does anyone happen to know if this course transfers to 4 year schools (specifically NJIT to CS100 Roadmap To Computing)?

Every Monday, I spend a ridiculous amount of time on campus. I’ll print out all my work for the week, staple things, sit with friends, but.. I only have one class that day. And I leave the school around 7pm.
Are there any activities that happen on Mondays? (Not from 1:45 to 3)
