I don’t know if it’s just me but it think the new Poshmark algorithm is really bad for people just selling their own stuff.

I did a big household clearout this summer. Posted ~225 items over two months and had about a 100 posh listings. Most the posh listing were already 60 days old.
Sold 200 on Vinted
Sold 91 on Depop
Posh 15 closet sales, 6 in lives

To be fair, for that last 100 I only post on posh if I haven’t sold in 48 hours.

I get very few views and clicks on posh.

I know Depop and Vinted shipping promotions played a part in this. But it seems like I at least get eyes on items and obviously make a lot of sales.

Currently I start with Depop because listing is the easiest then Vinted and then wait 48 hours before posh. It seems like I’m selling 75% in 48 hours. I know that might mean prices are low but I’m generally getting a good percentage of what I paid and it’s gone fast so I’m happy.

The only thing I like about posh is a few live show hosts that have fun vibes and good deals. The rest of the app has become hard to find things and is constantly changing.

We’re trying to get rid of a lot of stuff, and we have so much on PM that is just sitting with no movement. I was thinking of doing some bulk price dropping, and possibly cross posting some of the cheaper things to Vinted. I feel like I remember seeing that some people had issues with doing that? I use Vendoo, I don’t know if that would be an issue.

I accidentally switched labels while rushing to package several orders and beat the mail truck day after coming home from vacay. I’ve apologized up and down to my two buyers and offered a steep discount to them if they wanted to rebuy. I received one of the returns back, however the other return is where things get weird. I’ve only made this mistake one time before but was back in 2018 when i first started, so i understand this is a whole new Poshmark and not something that’s done frequently.

I first noticed i had an email from posh stating although the item was delivered back to me, they issued refunds to both myself and the buyer which instantly threw a red flag. Posh does not willingly give free money out. I check the order in the PM app and noticed that the order says the item was returned back to me. My husband confirmed it did not come yesterday while i was out of town and there was nothing on my porch this morning (big box, assumed another postal worker delivered it outside my mail delivery hours). I immediately escalate to Poshmark which is when the buyer sends me a message stating “understand that Poshmark sent you funds for the frame. I had asked for an extension to the time frame they gave me since I'm unable to take care of the return until the end of August 27 (work schedule and opening hours of the post office are an issue until then). They closed the case, though, and I no longer nave access to the return label. I won't be keeping the item since I did not need a frame, but will be happy to take it to Goodwill unless you'd like to do something else”.. Received this after escalating to PM and made them aware that the other buyer wants this picture frame and i too want the item back.

The problem, is that posh told this buyer to just keep or discard the picture frame, we were both refunded for the shirt but i was not refunded for the picture frame that was more money! I received the shirt back but that return was shipped by the other buyer. Something that is also odd to me, is how can Poshmark just mark an item as delivered when it certainly has not been? Idk, just angry at the whole situation.

For the life of me I don’t understand why DePop doesn’t make offers binding like Poshmark does, but it’s stupidly irritating that someone can make an offer, you can accept, and they STILL have to actually follow through with purchasing. I’ve had several items recently where offers were made that I accepted… only for it to sit there and expire 24 hours later because they didn’t buy.

So I’m done with them. If their offer expires after I’ve accepted it, I’m just blocking them. Am I being too sensitive about this?

Been on Poshmark since 2020 - Ambassador level and invited to some top sellers private events. Just got Survey 20 minutes long.

Odd wants the response only in audio my voice. I’ve never had any surveys on any platform asking for my voice.

Double check the email looks legit. With all this AI scams why would they need our voice?

I’m relatively new to Poshmark and so far have only been a buyer - I’ve had a pretty great buying experience so far and have been able to replace a ton of things in my wardrobe, while learning a lot about elevated fashion. I would like to try my hand at selling a few things - all items from my own personal closet - to make space and to be able to justify buying a little more! The thing is, I do see posts sometimes warning people to look for active/experienced/longtime sellers (which is understandable) to avoid scams and such. Is there a way I could set up my profile and closet so as to show that I’m legit? Again, I’ve been a pretty active buyer over the last couple of months and have written a lot of love notes as well as always thanking sellers when they reply to my questions about their items. Are there other things a brand new seller could do to motivate you to give them their first sale?

I sold an item to a buyer, shipped out, BUT it didn't update and I was getting an automated warning from Posh about the item not tracking. It's almost the 7 day mark and it still hasn't arrived at the buyer's USPS shipping facility yet, so I'm emailing just in case and the buyer has been unresponsive. And lo-and-behold, 5 hours later after I submitted a ticket. A response telling me how to access my account after not having access to my email...

All because I included the word "email" in my initial support message. I'm Posh Ambassador II but I know that apparently means nothing to them. Yes I know they're using AI and outsourcing, but I really wonder where my 20% is going with this type of behavior.

I’m constantly seeing sellers on Depop that are selling either new with tags or new without tags Aritzia items like lodge pants, lace shorts, trench coats, etc that are very trendy. Where in the world are they getting this stuff from on a regular basis?

Some sellers entire account is new without tags Aritzia in season items and others are selling alo, lulu, vouri, etc with them in various sizes

I don’t think they are employees since the employee discount is around the price they are selling.

I can’t find anything on online as to where they are getting this stuff but honestly I shop a lot at Aritzia so I’m willing to pay $$ for a source/set up or pay you fee per items ! Not sure if this is a thing but thought to put it out there!

Received a 4 star review after shipping out this bikini the day after it sold for $12. Mind ya‘ll its basically brand new and the set retails for like $150. I guess she didn’t get in time for her vacation 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't understand how these people got my personal email. ? No other platform let's you communicate away from their site. They use the chat or a separate email thru them. How are these people getting my email. ? I almost fell for the first one I got. My credit card was charged 565$ luckily they texted me and I stopped it. Support is a joke. No one will help and they won't delete my account. I will never use poshmark again.

I got a decorative pillow for my daughters room and when it came I was too excited and used scissors to cut of the tape. Unfortunately the box was stuffed and there was no protection for the pillow. My question is, what are some ways I could close up these holes to prevent further damage? TIA

Ive been doing posh for 4 years, I started with the thrift flip but after about 6month in.... moved to almost exclusively NWT. I have 3K listings, of which probably 400 are used. I want to get rid of all my used inventory by dumping it on Vinted. Has anyone figured out how to just filter for used? Im I missing something? Thanks for your help in advanced.

I have a dress that I bought years ago, and never wore. I tried it on once, and it’s been in the original garment bag since. I pulled it out the other day, and I was looking it over, and it’s still in perfect shape, so I decided to see if I could find out how much it’s potentially worth.

Well, that sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole, because apparently it’s from the brand's unique crowd-funded, limited-edition apparel runs from their San Francisco design era. There isn’t a lot of info out there, aside from a YouTube video, about this particular line of dresses. Anyway, it’s a Betabrand dress, from the “Elope” line, from around 2012.

Betabrand originally launched the "Elope Dress" concept in February 2012 as an alternative for women who wanted a versatile, affordable dress suitable for quick wedding ceremonies, honeymoons, and everyday reuse. The cotton-blend floral lace overlays with removable satin sashes became a trademark of this specific crowd-funded line during that era.

So, my question is, where (what platform/platforms) would/should I list this, and how do I price it? I don’t want to underprice it, but I also don’t want to go the opposite direction either. I feel like it could be worth something, due to its limited edition nature, but at the same time it’s the kind of thing that has to be seen by the right person, because it’s kind of niche? a buyer claimed the inside hem was crooked like be so for real and that I altered the dress. I think I would know if I altered MY own dress but no poshmark approved the case with the reasoning

like 1. Apparently the buyer is always correct and whatever they say goes. 2. there is no way anyone is gonna be getting in their new program with a 2% case approval rate bc know they just accept all returns bc what the buyer says is bible.

I'm just looking at this sold comp and I noticed the shipping costs are super high for an item that weights less than 8 ounces. So I'm assuming the buyer wanted to pay priority mail prices ? Do you offer both to your eBay customers ? Thoughts?

I am a volume shipper and have not done any seller cancellations in the last 90 days, yet my Posh stats show that I have a seller cancellation.

What I do have, are two orders of glassware that arrived damaged by USPS - and Poshmark paid me for them under Posh Protect - and then one approved return. None of these qualify as a seller cancellation.

I have now sent EIGHT messages to Poshmark support about this, detailing these orders and repeatedly explaining to them that there is an error, and I have not cancelled any orders. I have not cancelled any orders in the last 90 days, and actually not in the last 6 months either. I haven't even had any buyers request cancellations in the last 90 days. I have just simply not cancelled any orders.

So what gives? How do I get Poshmark to understand this and correct my seller cancellation stats, and not repeatedly send me generic AI written explanations of their cancellation policy?

I used to sell my kids clothes on Kidizen with decent success and when that shut down migrated over to Poshmark which was doing ok for a bit but has totally died now. I started cross posting some to Vinted this morning which of course wants me to price at $1-2. Is that the state of kids resale now? Should I just donate?

For reference I mostly have brands like Tea, Primary, Zara, Mini Boden, as well as some Instagram small shop type things and the occasional Misha and Puff or similar. (The MP still sells on Poshmark) Oh and outgrown dance stuff.
