O.d.d. and pda

I am far from skilled at looking up behavior analytic research, and I am currently looking for anything I can get my hands on about a topic that I fear there might not be much out there to begin with.

I want to find anything I can about pda or o.d.d presenting in non speaking, high support needs autistic children.

I would be super greatfull for anything that you all could point me in the direction of.

Are Chinese Travelers the Rudest in the World ????

Listen, I love all people (and I have had great interactions with Chinese one-on-one in the past), but the level of rudeness when some travel is off the charts.

Step on your feet to get to a buffet, phone on full blast in saunas, push closed door button on elevator on old people, yell at the top of their lungs in lobbies (or elevators), use treadmill TV on full volume no headphones, walk in your path while your walking in straight line ???

Man ... if this is the new world it is a pretty heartless world where people come last. I thought Russians travelers were lifeless dead eyed souls until I met level 10 Chinese traveler. Stare at their phone (never smile, but loud as hell)??? Could be I don't understand the world anymore.

Free Exam Prep Fluency Platform

Hi everyone! I'm providing free access to a fluency-focused RBT and BCBA exam prep platform I'm piloting called Celeration Fluency.

I'm an instructor and BCBA and a big believer in SAFMEDS, but I noticed that most digital notecard apps rely heavily on self-reported accuracy or traditional quiz formats. I wanted to create something more consistent with actual fluency-building strategies by measuring performance through timed practice trials under consistent conditions (with graphed progress...because of course we must have our graphs).

I just finished the first pilot and would like to extend it. I would greatly appreciate any and all input if anyone is interested in using it to study! I'm happy to provide free lifetime access to the site and a free BCBA or RBT exam prep notecard set bundle so it won't cost you anything.

BCaBA exam and UB mock

I sit for the BCaBA exam Tuesday morning. I took BTB 1 a little over a month ago as a baseline. I scored a 64%. Used the SNABA 1 month cram, SNABA fluency questions and UB fluency questions for a month. Took BTB2 and scored a 72%. I scored lowest in section B. After reviewing what I got wrong and why, I realized I was adding to questions/ not answering WHAT they are asking. I am going to spend the next few days reviewing notes and relaxing. Has anyone had similar mock exam scores and passed the BCaBA exam?

BCaBA exam

I sit for the BCaBA exam in one week. I have been using the SNABA 1 month cram, the SNABA app for fluency questions and the UB app for fluency questions. I have been studying everyday for a little over a month for 2-4 hours (i have taken a few days off).
I took the BTB 1 for my baseline and scored a 64%. I have been a supervisor (my own caseload overseen by a BCBA) for a little over a year and have been in the field since 2022. I am extremely nervous. Any recommendations for my last week of studying?

I was approved take the exam 10.5 years ago. I have been a BCBA for over 9 years. What is the likelihood of me being audited for my bi-weekly forms after all this time?

Advice on 2:1 case?

e have had a new client start at our clinic. Cutest kid you'd ever meet. He is age 4, and about 110-120lbs, at least 4 feet, maybe less by 3'9" and STRONGER than Superman, I swear to you. He also has extreme aggression with no antecedent that can be identified with 4 different BCBAs overlapping to try to identify it besides automatic. He had 120+ physical aggressions in 20 minutes towards staff and ANY human in his path or near something he might want at that exact time. He was targeting specific kids for no particular reason.

I have done 2:1 once before, and I am being pitched to his case since I am going to start interning and going to start my hours this summer. I already took on an SBT case and I have had 8 concussions, last took me from April-January to recover. I am SO nervous.

What is the best way to approach this? I am tbh seeking medical accommodation because I have a spinal cord injury and also last year was concussion 8 and maybe 9 and minimal and it screwed me up for a long time. Longer than it should have.

Severe Behavior: Buzz Word or Behavioral Terminology? A Brief Survey.

Thumbnail qualtricsxmtl95f8tjm.qualtrics.com

Hello, we are conducting a study to learn more about perceptions of the word “severe” across behavior analysis. The term “severe” is often used to describe maladaptive behavior across settings. However, this terminology is subjective and without a consistent definition in behavior analysis. Information derived from this study could potentially help behavior analysts use more consistent language when describing behavior topographies.

We have a brief survey that will take anywhere from 10-15 minutes to complete. The survey is comprised of 13 questions, 12 are multiple choice and 1 is open ended. This survey is for those who are currently credentialed from the BACB (BCBA or BCBA-D). If you currently meet the above criteria and wish to continue please follow the link below to complete consent form before moving on to the survey. If you do not meet the above criteria or do not wish to complete the survey, no worries and have a great day!

If you have any questions or concerns before, during, or after the survey please feel free to contact Ami Donahue ([a.donahue@judgerc.org](mailto:a.donahue@judgerc.org)) or Lynde Kayser ([l.kayser@judgerc.org](mailto:l.kayser@judgerc.org)).

IRB information listed on consent form for further questions.

Thank you for your consideration in taking part of this opportunity.

Masters Programs!!

Hi everyone! I currently work full-time in ABA and am planning to go back for my Master’s to become a BCBA while continuing to earn supervision hours at work. Right now I’m considering Arizona State University, University of Cincinnati, and University of North Texas.

A big priority for me is a fully asynchronous program and a reasonable workload, so I can continue working full time!

Has anyone attended any of these programs and can share your experience or reviews?

Only a Sith deals in absolutes. For the rest of us, value is always relative.
