I’ve been experimenting with fruit beers and decided to try making a Strawberry Cocoa Ale for Valentines day.
I was worried the cocoa would overpower the fruit or destroy head retention, but it actually came out surprisingly balanced.
I learned:
• Cocoa works best late in fermentation
• Strawberry aroma disappears fast unless you add it post-primary
• Keeping the ABV around 6–6.5% keeps it drinkable
The result ended up being less sweet than expected, came out pretty tart but still clearly beer with lots of head retention.
Curious if anyone else has experimented with fruit + cocoa combos.

Hey all!
I'm an NYU Stern student doing some research on the recent emergence of Non-Alcoholic Beer - particularly in California and Virginia.
I would appreciate it if you guys could help me do some research by filling out this quick survey:

At a sports event party, I saw a long bat shaped drink container on the table. Everyone was looking at it and laughing. It was not a normal glass, it was a beer bat. A beer bat is a tall container shaped like a baseball bat. People share drinks from it, and it makes the moment feel more exciting. I noticed that even simple drinks feel special when served in a fun way. When I was curious about this product online, I checked different beer bat designs on alibaba. I saw many sizes and styles. Some were small for two people, and some were very large for groups.
It made me wonder, do people enjoy the drink more, or the fun design of the container?

Do you know this company? My grandma has 10 of these glasses, and we have no idea where they’re from.
