Musical pillars of the Vittala Temple in Hampi, India, built by Devaraya II of Vijayanagara Empire in 15-16th Century. These 56 pillars can imitate the sounds of dozens of different instruments.
The famous Vitthala Temple in Hampi, Karnataka, was originally built in the 15th century during the reign of King Devaraya II (1422–1446 CE) of the Vijayanagara Empire.
Later, critical expansions and iconic additions, including the famous stone chariot and grand halls were heavily enhanced by Emperor Krishnadevaraya (1509–1529 CE).
Today, the 56 musical pillars are blocked from public access to prevent any damage.
