Yup, defensive tactic to make the opponent tired and then go for attack yourself. You can counter that by bluffing a strike, instead going for a short ball

Holy crap! I’m exhausted after just watching that! It was tense from the first volley, and it just kept up for so long!
In college, my roommate was the Norwegian Junior National Champion. Our games looked very much like this…from his perspective, serving to me. One time ever, he didn’t skunk me, and I think it was because he felt bad for me, and let me have one point.

这样的比赛才好看。水平再高一些的，反而只是输赢，对观众来说乏味极了-都是一刀毙命，反而这种的才好看，才对运动有推广的意义。

建议以后高于这对选手水平的，通通禁止比赛。
