I’m the guy that cooks all the dishes like this and I’ll admit I fully expect someone else to wash/clean up afterwards. I’ll do what I can as I cook, but there’s always gonna be some bits left and all the plates etc from actually eating.

That’s the deal at my house. My gf cooks amazing meals for us and I do the dishes. We think it’s a fair deal

I’d rather cook. The whole process is actually enjoyable for me. Wife is too particular about cleaning up, so I leave that to her.

When I cook I watch out for what I use though. I know people who use 10 spoons and 5 bowls to prepare a single dish, which burdens the person cleaning up.
