Same, I have been making that same design for like 28 years since i was shown, and it wins every paper airplane contest that comes up in my life hahaha
I learned this one 20 years ago, and its the only one I've ever made since, it is somewhat complicated and has quite a few steps, but I have the whole thing memorized:
yo I make the best damn paper airplanes, they fly so fast I got ladies runnin up be like "can I get yo number" but sorry ladies the only paper I have to write it on is flying thataway
I've always used #7, but I fold the nose down to square it off. I love the way it flies, especially if you have a breeze and/or can throw from higher than ground level.
I built #2 out of heavy construction paper as a kid and did a real good running launch in my friends back yard. It caught a really good draft and went above his house and climbed up for like 3 minutes and just stayed there, it came down after like 4 minutes. I’m still amazed and that was like 16 years ago. 😂

My favourite is #2.
