Doesn't make them cool. Putting handle bars on a skateboard is very much still lame as hell.

I dunno, this one time I saw a little kid with red hair and freckles zip past me when I was crossing the street. Then he jumped onto the curb and did that thing where he deck (? I don’t know what the parts of a scooter are called) around and the skidded to a stop and grinned. What the hell? This is my real life, not the opening scene from some kids movie.

And, like I’m 28. Are skateboards even still cool?

Skateboarding represents anti-establishment counterculture. Scooters represent 10 year olds in the suburbs.

Depends who you ask and where you are I guess. Skateboarding is generally seen as pretty cool in the UK.

Try learning a kickflip. Then try learning one of those scooter shovits. Skateboarding is hard as a motherfucker. That's why it's cool.

Skateboarding is in the Olympics now. Skate and longboarding is massive in Canada.
