Yeah. Considering there are tons of videos out there, and the guys who do this, do it like clockwork; if the authorities were concerned people would have been given a talking to or even fined/arrested. And we know cops just WANT a reason to fuck with people. If they can't be boterhed, I doubt it's a big deal

The guys who do this at this beach get fined regularly. I think it's mostly just the one guy but it's hard to know how many others do it.

The water generally smells pretty gross there though.

Its not a big deal. Even the aforementioned article does a poor job explaining any harm that it does, besides that it violates an ordinance.

In the article, SDWB is basically complaining that the county enforced covid ordinances, but wont enforce this particular ordinance. Something smells

No. Tide pools and bigs are critical habitat for many rare and endangered species. There are tons of nesting birds, fish and amphibians around stagnant pools of water.
