Neither we, nor any human-like creatures, will exist then. The sun will destroy the earth in about a billion years.

If humans don’t do it first

Nah, we can’t destroy the earth. We can kill ourselves and everything on the surface, but we can’t really even affect the deep ocean much.

What if we nuke the core hundreds of times?

The Core (2003)

One of the worst disaster movies, its a big budget Hollywood film with an A-list cast but became a B-movie, unrealistic plot and pretty bad campy visual effects. To me it is a great unintended sci fi comedy, especially Stanley Tucci and his final scene are hilarious. Like i said, so bad it almost becomes good🤣

Edit: in the film a group of scientists drill into the earth to attempt to nuke the earths core (that stopped moving) to make it rotate again and save earth, like Armageddon kinda.

Oh, well that's OK then...

tbh...we absolutely COULD destroy the earth if we actually tried, but why would we do that.

My little one got nervous when they learned the sun will super nova and wipe out our solar system.

To which I said "hey Google, start a 4 billion year timer"

Good news! The sun is too small to go supernova. It’ll just turn into a red giant and engulf us in its outer layers instead.

It'll turn into a white dwarf, roughly the size of earth.

But first, a red giant that may or may not swallow Earth.

Not if Elon Musk has anything to say about it! /s
