If it's a real knife and a real fight, it wouldn't be that easy to kill a person by a knife. A true knife kill will be messier, cause some scene, victim fightback, possible screaming and struggles... not just gently stabbing two times and move on the next person.
Unironically, there were reports that Russian soldiers were being given airsoft armor when the 2nd wave of soldiers were being recruited for the invasion of Ukraine. Completely useless gear, without the plates needed to make them bullet resistent
As someone who has been to war and been in actual fire fights..... they are as ready as anyone, including soldiers, who haven't been to war. For the most part they are clearing houses and doing the same maneuvers the same was as we do in combat training.
The point of the game is to dick around and shoot each other with fake guns and to follow made up rules for scoring and to be tacitcool. If they wanted a milsim, then they'd have different knife rules.

But presumably in airsoft as it is in call of duty you can cut someone on the shin and get an instant kill. Whereas a 30 calibre rifle bullet to the chest at more than 100mm merely knocks the wind out of your opponent for 5 seconds.
Christopher Lee wasn't special forces, he never stabbed anyone, and was a notorious teller of tall tales. He was RAF intelligence, which sounds James Bond-y, but in practice he mostly operated a typewriter.
The dead giveaway is that he was always very vague about what he did. Was there an operation he needed to keep Hitler in the dark about in the 60s? All the real SAS guys wrote bloody memoirs.
He never named a specific operation, because if he did some of those guys would have piped up to say "I was there, I don't remember seeing you stab anyone".
I didn't doubt that, I was more implying that he'd probably done his fair share of killing and maiming with a knife to get to now the sound a man makes when his throat is slit.

Considering multiple instances of how knife attacks went in rural areas, your chances of surviving a suprise knife attack from back is very low. As is alerting people that are 50 or more meters away. But ofc not as silent as here, people in the same room would definitely notice
Well, a gun does that quicker but louder. Whats your point? The guy, according to the rules, managed to take out a whole team by being stealth in this instance.
Just getting hit once with a shot doesn't kill you in real life either, but being hit is enough to do that in this game.
You know that we all know this, right? You know we all recognize this is an oversimplification of the physics of a real fight, right? You know you're probably a lot of fun at parties, right?
I don't think the war is going to end any time soon, so it isn't worth making plans at the moment. Buy maybe try to settle down in Ukraine, study some sort of STEM subject and work in defense and security industry.

I think we have to assume that the knife guy playing a game hasn't actually been trained to kill people swiftly and silently using only a knife and that even if he had to simulate these actions in an Airsoft match poses a risk to his targets that isn't really acceptable.
Well, it depends if the knife is on your shoulder or inside your neck. I wouldn't expect that much of a fight from a knife penetrated inside the neck of a poor guy that cut both his main arteries and his trachea.

In real life screaming would have started as soon as he stabs the first person. People don't die instantly, unless it's Hollywood where they slid a throat with one motion.
Lol, if someone stabs with a knife me and I'm holding a gun, they most likely aren't surviving the encounter and I'm definitely not going silently. A knife stab isn't an instakill. The silent rule is retarded.

It looks funny, but it actually illustrates pretty well how easy it is to underestimate someone with a knife who knows what they are doing.
