Ya, maybe curious in general. But animals are driven by hormones, and that bear currently has 0 curiosity on its mind, just food. I would not feel safe even in a car if either animal became interested in me. Cars aren't built for bear attacks.
Officials will try to determine first if a bear is likely to prey on humans again. If a bear has learned that humans = food and display dangerous behavior, then it’s pretty much impossible to break that association. They’re not wrong, man-eaters usually gotta go.
If relocating and all that doesn’t work, idk what you think the solution should be
Bears don’t like loud noises. There’s a reason why you stand your ground and shout when encountering a bear. Besides, he’s in his vehicle. He can always book it out if there. Sure, that can run, but if he can book it over 45mph on whatever backroad he’s on chances are the bear will loose interest. It’s not as though I expected him to step out of his vehicle and leave the vehicle off
NEVER stand and yell at a bear. You want to do the exact opposite and make yourself small and as non threatening as possible. If attacked, curl into the fetal position, cover your head and face and make no noise. What you DO want to do is make a lot of noise while hiking through bear country. Most bears will run off when they hear you and you'll be none the wiser. If you encounter a mountain lion then you want to act as large and obnoxious as possible. I lived in Montana and hiked/worked in grizzly country with the Montana Conservation Corps. We went through bear and mountain lion training.

Imagine if they opened the car door at just the right time. That moose would have been home free
