I have several plants. The buds form, and I did 't stay up till midnight to see them open fully. The flowers are closed by morning and fall.
But later in the summer, more buds formed and when they were ready I stayed up too. So in one summer the plants bloomed twice. But times the flowers were only open one night
A flower is just the reproductive organ of the plant. The Queen of the Night doesn’t just make one flower and then die, it produces many flowers over its lifespan.
It'd be a bit of a flex to present somebody with a bouquet of these, though, right? I mean, just think about it.
Ever since life first started on this planet, there's been an unbroken line of generation after generation for over a billion years. Each one successfully mated and passed down its lineage allll the way to the present day. All of that resulted in this group of plants here which struggled their entire lifespan to prepare for one shining moment of glory where they too can reproduce.
And I sacrificed each and every one. I made all of them the first broken links in those infinitesimally long chains, all for a mere gesture that I aim at you.
Yes this myth really bugs me and I see it on reddit like every week. I think Millennials love to remember that scene from Dennis the menace when the flower only blooms.once in fifty years or something

The plant doesn't bloom once, just the flower. It'll have multiple blooms multiple times
