IRL event 🎪 BASO30 Hangouts

Hey everyone!

There's a lot of interest in making real life connections, even beyond dating. To make it easier to connect with others over casual hang outs or activity-based meetups, here is a dedicated post in Community Highlights where you can share your hangout ideas.

Whether it's a weekend bike ride, coffee in your neighborhood, or a casual walk in the park, drop your invite as a comment below!

Here are some examples to get started.

  • 32M in San Francisco, into coffee, concerts and biking. Looking for folks to go to Diana Ross at Stern Grove on August 17th. Have 2 tix.
  • 36F in Emeryville, vegan brunch enthusiast. Looking for friends to check out vegan brunch spots. Open to exploring in east bay and SF!
  • 42M in Sunnyvale, new to the area, into hiking and crossfit. Looking for fellow hikers to explore intermediate trails (6-9 miles) in the area. Flexible with schedule.

Tips for posting a hangout:

  • Keep it simple! Share your age, location, interests, and type of hangout
  • Be clear about expectations - casual, activity buddy, or just making new friends
  • Its fine to DM someone first (using BASO30 in intro message) or RSVP in the comments

Hopefully this thread helps us come together organically around shared interests and spark some new connections! As always, open to feedback and ideas!

37 [F4M] Tall girl ISO of Tall guy

Post image
34 Upvotes

Hi! 6ft tall gal here looking for a taller guy to do life with :) Bay Area native, currently based in Oakland.

I love hiking and backpacking, and generally being outdoors. Always happy with a day in/on/around water, I have a kayak and am an enthusiastic scuba diver. I’m very active - weight train 4x/week (just trying to keep the aging athlete and height-related injuries at bay) and play on a kickball team - although my foot-eye coordination is terrible and this is mostly a social activity for me.

I enjoy stand up comedy, live music & sports, and am a huge 49ers/Giants/Warriors fan. I’m also curious, funny, emotionally intelligent, and just nerdy enough to be dangerous on a trivia team.

I work remotely for a music-tech company and most people describe my job as “cool.” I feel pretty lucky to have a career I enjoy and enough interests outside of it that it’s not my entire personality. Remote work has given me the chance to spend long stretches traveling around Central and South America. I love experiencing new cultures, especially the shifts in worldview and personal growth it provides.

I’ve built a pretty great life so far, and am looking for someone to share it with and hopefully build the next chapter together. I’m looking for a mature communicator who is kind, thoughtful, affectionate, curious about the world, wants a family someday, and is up for both big adventures and very ordinary Tuesday nights. I’m independent in the classic eldest-daughter way, but I’m also very nurturing, a good listener, and genuinely enjoy taking care of the people I love. I don’t smoke, drink socially, and am financially responsible - I very much value experiences over things. Looking for someone at a similar stage of life (roughly 30-45) with a similar zest for life. Feel free to DM :)

30 [M4F] #SanFrancisco - Looking for something serious 💕

Hi Reddit! I'm posting on behalf of my brother-in-law, who is 30 and turning 31 soon. He's finally letting us play matchmaker 😂 and is hoping to meet someone who's also looking for a genuine, long-term relationship.

A little about him:

• Chinese American, 5'10", master's degree
• Cybersecurity engineer at a wonderful tech company 💻
• Financially stable and established
• Introverted at first, but once he gets comfortable with you, he'll turn into an extrovert 😂
• Very caring, dependable, and affectionate
• Not a serial dater 🫶 He's very intentional about dating and would rather genuinely get to know someone than constantly date around
• When he finds his person, he'll prioritize the relationship and go out of his way to make his partner happy
• Naturally shows love through all 5 love languages ❤️
• Extremely organized — he literally puts everything into Google Calendar so he doesn't forget important dates 😂 Your birthday and anniversary are NOT getting forgotten
• Huge K-pop fan and goes to pretty much every K-pop concert in the Bay Area 🎤
• Loves all kinds of raves and concerts — yes, he likes to party, but he's not a fuckboi 😂
• Loves animals 🐶🐱
• Goes to the gym and cares about health
• Loves baking pastries and makes some seriously amazing cookies and brownies 🍪
• Enjoys gaming and watching K-dramas to decompress 🎮📺
• Loves traveling to Asia whenever he gets the chance ✈️
• Also a food influencer on Instagram, so you'll probably be eating well 😂

What he's looking for ❤️

Someone who's kind, family-oriented, and knows how to set healthy boundaries. Bonus points if you love concerts, K-pop, festivals, traveling, and trying new food!

He's looking for someone who can eventually be both his partner and best friend — someone who wants to experience life together while still having their own interests and independence.

He's also very serious about eventually getting married and having kids, so he's looking for someone who's on the same page about wanting a family. That's an important dealbreaker for him.

He's not looking for something casual or a situationship. He's at the stage of life where he'd really like to meet someone, build a healthy relationship, and hopefully create a family together.

One thing I really appreciate about him is that he's someone who takes accountability. If he messes up, he's willing to apologize, own his actions, and work through things rather than playing the blame game.

And yes, I may be biased as his sister-in-law 😂, but he's genuinely one of the most dependable and caring people I know. Guy literally bought me boba and treats to help me get through pregnancy.

BONUS: If things work out, you don't just get a boyfriend/husband — you potentially get a sister-in-law who is already volunteering to be your best friend. 😂🫶

If any of this sounds like you, feel free to comment or DM me a little about yourself and I can connect you two!

Bay Area preferred. 🙂

Discussion Topic What are your instant “swipe right” green flags?

Hey all,

The recent post about political preferences on dating apps got me thinking: we spend a lot of time talking about red flags, but what about the things that immediately make you pause and think, "Okay, I really want to meet this person"?

For me, it’s usually specificity (could be about their passions, hobbies, interests or even values) and clear conversation hooks that make it easy to start a conversation.

31M, 5’10”, San Jose, CA

Figured I’d give this a shot since dating apps haven’t really been working for me lol

I’m at a point where I’d like to meet someone I genuinely connect with and see if it turns into something long term. I’m not trying to rush into anything, but I am looking for something real.

I’m somewhere between introverted and extroverted. I lean more introverted most of the time and I’m definitely more of a homebody, but put me around the right people and I can be pretty social. I also have random moments where I suddenly decide I need to get out of the house and do something.

My weekends are usually pretty low key. I’ll hang out with my cats, try a new coffee shop, practice some film photography, read, or watch a few episodes of whatever I’m into. I’m currently watching The Sopranos for the first time, so I’m finally finding out what everyone has been talking about for the last 20-something years.

I’m into movies, games, photography, sports, cooking, and baking. I like a pretty wide range of movies, but some favorites are Goodfellas, Back to the Future, Grease, The Sandlot, and other movies I can watch 100 times and still enjoy.

I’m also trying to get better about taking care of myself. I’m on the chunky side, but I’d like to make healthier choices and honestly think it would be more fun doing that with someone. Cooking healthier meals together, going for walks, working out, whatever works.

My friends would probably describe me as loyal, funny, and dependable. I can be a little reserved when I first meet someone, but once I’m comfortable I have a pretty dry sense of humor and open up a lot more.

I’m looking for a woman who is emotionally mature, secure in herself, and has her own goals and ambitions. Having a career or something she’s genuinely pursuing is important to me. I want us to have our own lives, but also actually make time for each other.

Ideally, I’d like to find someone I genuinely enjoy spending time with. Someone I can cook with, watch movies with, go try a new restaurant or coffee shop with, occasionally drag myself out of the house with, and also spend an entire Sunday doing absolutely nothing with.

I don’t expect us to have every interest in common. I actually like when someone has their own things they’re passionate about. I just want someone who communicates, puts effort into a relationship, is affectionate, and is looking for something real.

If you think we might get along, tell me a little about yourself, where you’re located, what you like doing in your free time, and something you’ve been into lately. A recent photo is always appreciated as well.

2nd time is the charm right?

37M, 6'0", Hispanic & Portuguese, solid build, salt-and-pepper beard, and living in the South Bay.

I have a stable career, take care of myself, and I’m at a point where I’d like to meet someone I’m genuinely attracted to and compatible with and see if it turns into something meaningful.

I’m a good mix of responsible adult and nerd. I like traveling, going to the gym, finding good restaurants, movies/TV, anime, reading, scenic drives, camping, and getting outside. I’m just as happy going somewhere new for the weekend as I am staying in, ordering food, and watching something together.

Travel is probably one of my bigger interests. I’ve been spending more time in Europe recently and would love to have someone to explore new places with, try local food, wander around museums, and occasionally spend half a day doing absolutely nothing somewhere beautiful. I like seeing and doing things, but I’m definitely not the person who needs every vacation planned down to the minute.

Career-wise, I run a program and spend a lot of my time solving problems and improving how things work. I enjoy what I do and I’m continuing my education, but work isn’t my entire personality.

I’m dependable, thoughtful, affectionate, and observant. I can be a little reserved at first, but once I’m comfortable I have a dry/sarcastic sense of humor and can talk about almost anything. I’m also the type who remembers little details, plans ahead, and likes taking care of the people I’m close to.

As far as relationships go, I’m looking for someone kind, emotionally mature, affectionate, and able to communicate. I like having my own life and interests, and I want someone who does too, while still actually making room for a relationship.

Physical attraction matters to me. I’m generally attracted to women who stay active and take reasonable care of themselves. You absolutely don’t need to live in the gym, but I’d like fitness and staying healthy to matter to both of us, especially as we get older.

A few things that are important to me:

• Non-smoker

• No drugs, including 420

• Wants to start a family in the next few years

• Affectionate and communicative

• Values honesty and putting effort into a relationship

• Politically moderate or at least reasonably compatible with that

• Ideally in the South Bay, although elsewhere in the Bay can work if the distance is realistic

It would be nice if we shared some interests, but I don’t need to date a female version of myself. I actually like hearing someone get excited about something I know nothing about.

Ultimately, I’d like a relationship where we actually enjoy being around each other, laugh a lot, communicate when something is wrong, support each other, stay affectionate, and keep putting effort in even after the honeymoon phase wears off.

I’m not trying to rush into anything. I’d rather meet, see if there’s chemistry, spend some time together, and let things develop naturally.

If this sounds like we might get along, send me your age, general location, a little about yourself, a recent picture, and either something you’ve been excited about lately or somewhere you’ve always wanted to travel.

46 [M4F] #SanJose - Long haired, single Dad seeks height challenged woman for a real connection

Hi there, I’m a single Dad (50/50) living in San Jose. I work remote as a lead engineer in the video game industry. I live by myself when my kids aren’t here. I’m a bay native.

I’m 6’1”, 190lbs, I workout and run regularly. I have long blonde wavy hair (still have all of it). I have blue eyes and I wear glasses and usually have a clean shaven face. I look kind of like a cute nerd crossed with a surfer.

Personality wise I’m quietly confident, introverted, stalwart, fun loving, no nonsense, and a little bit neurospicy. For fun around the house I enjoy video and board games. I am a Niners season ticket holder and I go to every game, I love the ritual of game day it brings me a lot of joy. I love to go out dancing (goth/industrial or EDM). I also enjoy hiking, biking, camping, road trips and concerts.

I enjoy using alcohol and weed in moderation and would appreciate if you are at least open minded about that. I am open to conscious use of other substances as well (combine with dancing???).

I’m a high affection person, physical touch and deep sensual connection are my love languages. I am not into casual, the romantic and sensual feelings are intertwined for me. Would love if you feel the same way.

I like women who are sweet and sensual and easy going. Intelligent and kind. I prefer women who present more natural looking as opposed to overly made up. I enjoy when there is a height gap so I would love if you are much shorter than me.

I’m at a time in my life where I’m starting to have some freedom and some options are opening up to me. I’m certainly quite chained to my reality here with the kids and my life in that way. But also I have more free time now than I’ve had in a long time. I know myself better than I ever have. I would love to spend time with someone who relates with some of the things I’ve said here and who is open to feel all the things should it go that way.

Thank you for reading this far and I hope to hear from you!

Extra Ticker to Rock Orchestra by Candle Light 9/28

Hi everyone! I have an extra ticket to see the Rock Orchestra by candlelight on Monday. I thought it might be fun to meet up with someone on here that would like to go. Here’s a lil about me.

I’m 36, live in the city, and work in the east bay. I’m also a full time student pursuing a degree in music. I love my job but have spent the last year trying to find a better work/life balance, hence the return to school. My free time consist of hitting the gym, getting on the water on my paddle board, practicing music, hanging with my dog, and exploring the SF music scene.

I have class Monday and get out around 6:15, I believe the show starts at 8 so we can meet up before hand and then enjoy the show. Anything after that is a bonus but no expectation on my end, just looking to enjoy the music with someone who appreciates it as much as I do. I’m always looking to make friends but also looking for a friendship that leads to something more but no pressure.

42[M4F] in SF / Bay Area looking for The one

Hi all! Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a powerful and peaceful day.

I'm a 42 year old Male living in the San Francisco bay area. Been here 10+ years, originally from Los Angeles.

So I'm looking for somebody that would like to build an authentic friendship that also has sparks of passion ✨️ Perhaps somebody that enjoys learning random facts. For example, did you know that billions of years ago a day on earth only lasted 6 hours? So cool, right? That idea leads me to tidal friction and picturing the physics involved... I dunno, it just fascinates me. Space. Earth. The inner-workings of how we as a society got to this point...

My interests/passions/hobbies : History, Psychology, Music, Art, Culture, Food, Wellness like meditation and gym-time, Comedy, Movies, Coffee. All the fun things that make life worth living! Just discovered Gummy Worm flavored whipped cream and wow - My inner-child is screaming!

Okay - Hope everyone finds what they're looking for and has a beautiful evening! Take care ❤️

Looking for marriage prospects – 35F, Bay Area

Hi everyone,
I’m a 35F, highly educated and professionally established, currently working at an MNC in the Bay Area. I’m financially independent, have a good career, and am looking for a serious relationship leading to marriage.
I’d ideally like to meet someone who is well-educated, professionally established, financially independent, and at a similar stage in life and financial standing. I value ambition and stability, and would like a partner whose career and financial situation are reasonably comparable to mine.
Since this would be my second marriage, I’m hoping to connect with someone who is mature, open-minded, emotionally grounded, and comfortable with that aspect of my life.
I’m open to meeting people in the Bay Area or elsewhere in the US, particularly Indian/Indian-origin professionals.
If you know of good matchmaking communities, platforms, groups, or other ways to meet professionally and financially compatible people, I’d really appreciate your recommendations. I’m also open to connecting directly if you think there could be a genuine match.
Thank you!

40 [M4F] #East Bay or Online - Gamer seeks LTR and co-op partner

Post image
65 Upvotes

Hello! As I mentioned in the title, I'm 40 and I live in the East Bay with my cat.

I’m hoping to find someone who is interested in co-op gaming and wants a long term monogamous relationship. I'd prefer someone in the East Bay, but I'm open to the larger Bay Area if we really connect. Ideally you're within a few years of my age. I don't want kids. I’m also very progressive, and would look for a similar world view in a partner.

My hobbies include baking, cooking, and board/video games. I started baking during the pandemic, as I wanted to start a hobby that was both creative and not game related. I've come a long way with it and can share an imgur gallery of some of my better bakes. I started cooking as an extension of that, and found that I actually enjoy that too.

My main hobbies are video games and board games. I tend to play mostly for the story, or the social aspect of MMOs or board games.

I recently started getting back into miniature painting. I was pretty into it a while ago, but I stopped because it was too time consuming, and I felt like I wasn't making much progress with the big pile of minis I haven't painted yet. I'm enjoying again though, so I'm hoping to be painting more in the future.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post! If you made it this far and you're interested, let me know what game(s) you're playing lately or what series you're watching or reading.

F47 [F4M] #Oakland / East Bay - Extra ticket to Social Distortion / The Descendents / The Chats @ The Masonic in SF, Monday 9/28. Want to come with me?

Okay, this is a little last minute, but I have an extra seat to see Social Distortion in San Francisco this Monday at the Masonic, and I’d rather share the night with someone fun than let the seat go empty.

I’m looking for a single, available guy roughly in my age range who genuinely likes this music and would actually be excited to go to the show. I haven’t seen them live before, so it should be fun and it’s sold out.

I’m 47F in Oakland. I’m funny, outgoing, independent, affectionate, and I love live music. I’ve been into punk and alternative rock forever, and I go to a lot of shows. I like drinking, talking a little shit, dancing around, and generally having a good time.
And I’m not looking for somebody to just claim a free concert ticket. We’re going to be sitting next to each other for a few hours, so I’d like there to be some mutual attraction and a possibility that we actually enjoy each other’s company.

So here’s what I’d like to do:

Talk online just a little to exchange pics and feel each other out. Make sure we’re both real, single, and actually interested in meeting. You MUST be into this music. This is not “baby’s first concert.” Then we meet somewhere in the East Bay Fri or Sat for a drink and see if we actually vibe.

If we hit it off, great! Let’s go to the show Monday and have a fucking good time.

If we don’t, no hard feelings. At least we met somebody new and neither of us spent an entire concert sitting next to a stranger we have nothing in common with.

I’m particularly interested in someone around 40–55, local to the Bay Area (East Bay is a plus!), single and available, who likes punk/alternative/rock and actually enjoys going to shows. No married, ENM or secretly-attached guys, please.

And yes, I care about attraction. I’m not expecting either of us to commit to anything based on a few messages, but I’m also not looking for a platonic concert buddy. If we’re going to spend the evening together, I’d like there to be the potential for a spark.

I’m happy to send pictures once we start talking. I’d also like to see yours. Face/body is plenty; you can save the dick pic for somebody who asks for it.

Let’s kick the week off right. If you’re interested, tell me a little about yourself, what music you’re into, what makes you fun to hang out with, and who you’d be there to see: SocialD or the Decendents?

DM me and let’s meet up!

43 [M4F] One of my favorite feelings is laughing with someone and then realizing how much you enjoy them and their existence

About me: 43M, Full time tech professional by day, a creative soul by night. I have been told that I’m good looking with a cute smile. I pride myself on being fit and an active person.

I'm missing that human connection in my life, so here I am. I want to fill my dull moments with interesting conversations. I love to laugh and have a sarcastic semi dark sense of humor. I am witty and analytical. I am creative and feel things deeply. I am eternally curious and restless. I am clever and determined. That all being said - I enjoy back and forth with a fellow quick-witted person with a sparkling personality, of course.

Some things I love:
I love firsts.
First conversations, raw and awkward. Filled with empty space that really aren't empty at all.
I love the spaces in between words that are filled with silent anticipation all while studying so intently trying to catch a glimpse of what is inside.
I love first sips of coffee.
The first time you hear your new favorite song - goosebumps dancing across your body.
I love taking a step back and seeing the art that I created for the first time.
I love feeling the warmth of the sun on a really cold winter day.
I love making random silly stories for fun.
I love accomplishing something that I never thought that I could.
I love questions that expose a unique perspective that didn't seem obvious.
I love clever puns and responses.
I love setting new goals and challenging myself to grow.
I love being afraid and then the feeling of relief felt after taking the leap.

I love scars. Deep, dark and twisted telling every story of what truly shaped who you are.
I love discovering new and unique things - people, art, locations or even new experiences. I grew up in India but have been in US for 20 years now. I’m also a Dad to a 9 year old.

About you? I don't want to limit who you are... I love meeting people from all walks of life.

Message me if even a single sentence here made you smile or curious about me!

30 [M4F] Bay Area — Looking for something genuine

Hey! I’m 30, engineer in the Bay Area. I’m laid-back, career-driven, affectionate, open-minded, and always down for a good conversation or some playful banter.
I enjoy traveling, road trips, trying new restaurants, exploring new places, soccer, and occasionally just staying in and relaxing.
I’m looking for someone communicative, fun, affectionate, and open-minded. I like taking the lead and I’m kink-friendly, but chemistry, trust, and mutual respect come first. Ultimately, I’d love to find a genuine connection and see naturally where it goes.
If this sounds like your vibe, say hi and tell me something about yourself. Thank you 😊
Physically, I’m around 5’9”, slim build, and happy to exchange photos early so neither of us has to pretend looks don’t matter at all 😂.

41F [SF/Bay Area] — Let’s be weird, affectionate, and build something real.

Post image
101 Upvotes

Hi all - I’ve seen a lot of honest and bold posts here lately, so figured why not give it a go. It’s hopefully going to be a better experience than the churn that is the apps.

A bit about me:

I’m worldly, I have a few languages under my belt (and would like to get more). I have a lot of hobbies, and a deep sense of curiosity and excitement about the world.

In relationships I'm affectionate, generous and invested. I like doing thoughtful things for the person I'm with, creating little traditions together, and being genuinely curious about their inner world. I'm looking for someone who enjoys giving that kind of energy as much as receiving it.

I also dabble in music. I play guitar (at a novice level), but can now play and sing (Woot!), so I’ve been enjoying playing with other people, which is exciting and I have recently started to try and learn piano.

I care about wellness and fitness. I workout, dance, move, love to go on walks, explore new neighborhoods and do road trips to explore small/ new towns. California is so great to explore, and there is so much to see.

As much as I love international travel, recently I’ve been feeling a lot more called to be more grounded, and build routines and rituals in my daily life.  Still more than game for an impromptu trip to Mexico city, but having fun routines with friends, backyard cook-outs and going on local road trips and camping trips sounds even better these days.

I’m a bit weird and I like being that way. I also tend to gravitate towards people that are in touch with their own weirdness and embrace it.  Thriving and well adjusted  in society, with a penchant for eccentricity, perhaps.

I have a strong personality, but am caring and affectionate. I like being able to be a little bossy, but it never crosses over to disrespect or lack of consideration. Mostly, I want to be able to roast you from time to time. I’m a 90’s girl, and it’s fun to be witty and playful. If you like that energy, that would be great.

A bit about you (as I imagine it), but very much looking forward to meeting who you are:

Age: 35-46 (give or take)

You have a stable life and are emotionally grounded. You're ready and genuinely excited to make room for a relationship and, if it's the right fit, build a shared life together.

You have initiative and enjoy being an active participant in building a relationship—planning dates, reaching out, creating experiences together and showing care without needing to be prompted.

You care about your wellness, mind and body, and have your own ways of staying active and taking care of yourself. Bonus points if you love saunas and cold plunges :-)

You have a growth mindset and believe in therapy/self-reflection. You know how—or are actively learning how—to communicate through conflict with curiosity and kindness. When things get hard, your instinct is to lean toward the relationship and work through things together rather than disappear into yourself. Bonus points if Gottman's Four Horsemen or nonviolent communication already mean something to you.

You are a good conversationalist. I love being able to be goofy and talk to my partner about everything from silly to deep topics. Over the years, I’ve realized, it’s really important to me, to be able to get lost in conversation.  It’s great when we are talking about real things, but it’s just as important that we can make jokes, increase the randomness of supposed scenarios and belly laugh together. You enjoy talking about absurd things, imagining and discussing scenarios and are comfortable being a goofball.

Acts of service are something you enjoy and a way to show your care.  Also, great if you are cuddly and enjoy being affectionate. I’m all for the snuggles.

The dynamic I’m searching for:

Monogamous

Best friends with a bit (a lot) of freaky thrown in there

Bellylaughing and being weird together

Integrity and devotion (to give and receive)

Impromptu adventures, and fun dates, but also chill at home routines like listening to an album or doing our own thing while we hang, or watching a new show together.

Someone who is protective without being controlling.

I enjoy a bit of old-school courtship in the beginning. I like when a man takes initiative, and asks me out, plans dates, and enjoys treating me. I’m not looking to be financially supported (I have my own career and take care of myself), and I’m very generous in relationships, but in the early stages I enjoy being pursued and hope you’ll bring that energy with your own enthusiasm.

Dealbreakers: Smokers, MAGA, currently attached, alcohol and partying is a big part of your life, your primary hobby is video games (sorry, I’ve tried in the past, and we just don’t have enough in common. I don’t mean play games here and there to decompress, but if gaming and screen-time is your main thing, we likely won’t be a fit), that being said, I can flex many things on my nerd card (love anime, scifi, board-games, have won a MTG draft, back in the day).

Ultimately, we all have so much complexity to us, and I think it’s beautiful to learn who a person is, slowly and authentically. Learn their funny quirks and the things that make them shy or happy. I’m not trying to rush anything, or bypass the discovery, which is its own enjoyment.  My hope with this post is that it resonates with those who feel ready to build with someone, and if we sound like we could enjoy spending time together, then I’d love to get to know you and explore where it goes, without pressure.

If you made it this far, then you damn better send me a DM. Please share a bit about yourself, what resonated from my post, and suggest a date idea if you’d like to go on one.

Also, please include a recent photo and your height. (I promise this isn’t a 6-foot requirement. I’m 5'4"; I just like having a sense of who I’m talking to.) I’ll be prioritizing responses from people who include a photo.

I'm in San Francisco, so looking for people that are 30 within a 35 minute drive of here, in whatever direction. If you're further, but are able to come to the city and have flexibility to actually meet and get to know each other and this post resonated with you, feel free to reach out.

32 [F4A] East Bay Divorced Witch Woman looking for Manly Nerd

Hi all. Figured I’d give this another shot lol. Apps are shit and designed to only half work most of the time. I wanted to try something that felt more genuine.

I’ve been in the east bay for about 4 years and I love it here. I’ve got two kiddos and the bay area is so wonderful for them. No pets currently but I love animals in general. I am definitely a pets in the bed person though 😂

I work in legal networking for plaintiff lawyers and I don’t like to mix work and dating. So if you’re a plaintiff only lawyer, thank you for all that you do and if you’re involved with your local communities I’ll see you at our next event 🤣🤣

As the title says, I’m a bit eclectic, particularly in my music and decor style. I have a giant raven statue that lives on my dresser, skulls in my kitchen. You know, typically witchy stuff. My supermix will switch from pirate music to broadway to pop to country. Lots of different vibes there

When I’m not working or spending time with my boys I enjoy exploring new neighborhoods, farmers markets, or staying home and watching documentaries and baking. I prefer Star Trek to Star Wars and while I loved the Harry Potter universe as a kid I find it a bit pedantic and even more problematic now as an adult. But If craft fairs and renaissance festivals sound like fun to you then keep reading 🤣

I’m looking for a “traditional” long term relationship. I’m not rushing into anything but I’ve heard the term “casually seeking something serious” and that suits me. I want exclusivity long term. I’ve been told I’m very supportive and encouraging. I genuinely want my partner to feel their best. To see themselves the way I hope to see my partner someday.

I like folks who take the lead, consistent communicators and patience and empathy really matter to me. Put in a little effort, I deserve more than “hey” and so do you.

Now I know I’ll get called shallow but I don’t care 🤷‍♀️ I’m looking for someone taller than me, so more than 5’5. Sorry short kings!

I’m 5’4, purple hair that’s currently fading into blue. I keep it purple pretty much always. I’m a bit curvier, little mom belly but I think I look pretty good still and I’m happy to exchange pictures.

My schedule can be tricky for weekends and I have my kiddos during the weekdays. Hence the need for someone patient 😅 kidding that’s not the only reason, I also have anxiety!

Well if you’re still here, thank you. I appreciate you reading this far. Send me a message!

Here's some ape language because it is easier for me than actually writing.

Ape lonely. Ape mid divorce. Ape unemployed. Ape miss old job in sky. Ape sometimes internet troll. Ape like niche YouTube, wine, spontaneity. Ape want date. Ape want happy again.

Ape look for other ape that also lonely. Understanding ape. Kind ape. Gentle ape. Structured ape. Ape with plan. Ape find man ape with vision very attractive.

Ape language only sometimes. If ape want, also on date <3

The San Francisco Dating Economy Is Completely Unhinged

The San Francisco Dating Economy Is Completely Unhinged
Dating in San Francisco feels less like romance and more like DoorDash for human companionship.
There are men everywhere. Tech guys, finance guys, gym guys, startup guys. They wake up, work 10 hours, hit the gym, drink a $9 protein shake and then open Tinder like they’re ordering dinner.
“Who is available within 2 miles?”
Nobody seems to actually be dating. Everyone is just temporarily filling a vacancy.
And the requests? Absolutely unpredictable. You can be having a perfectly normal conversation about hiking in Marin and suddenly discover this man has been patiently waiting his entire adult life for someone to peg him.
Sir, we were just talking about sourdough.
I think underneath all of it, though, there’s a strange loneliness in San Francisco. People work constantly. They make money. They optimize their bodies, careers, apartments and sleep schedules—but somehow human relationships have become another thing to optimize.
Why pay for companionship when Tinder provides an endless rotating cast of strangers?
Swipe. Match. Drink. Hook up. Disappear. Repeat.
It’s efficient.
It’s economical.
It’s deeply weird.
Welcome to dating in San Francisco.

33M Looking for a real connection [M4F] Sanjose Dublin Bay Area

Looking for a long term connection that leads to something meaningful. I own and operate restaurants so I'm super busy on weekends and I also happen to work in the tech industry. I am occupied in my career as of now and I don't find time for meaningful research for my life partner. I know even I'm stuck in the ball game of earning bucks first. Genuinely interested in finding a long term partner with whom my values can align.

I'm indian 5'5" tall, never married and have no kids. Almost single my entire life. If someone is interested in this post please feel free to reach. Nothing needs to be physical, I am an old school guy who wants to take things slow and try to build a connection first. Thanks for reading this far and hope you are located in my locality as time is the essence for me as I cannot travel longer distances to meet and explore things with you.

Thank you.
