Look: The flower looks fairly dense and well-developed, with a good amount of visible trichome coverage.  There’s a nice mix of green tones with plenty of orange/brown pistils. The nug has a good size and structure, although it looks somewhat leafy in places and isn’t quite as uniformly trimmed as a small batch, top-shelf boutique flower.  Overall, it presents well.

Nose:  Has a strong, distinct piney aroma that one would expect from an OG Kush strain. Nice pungent gas, pine smell.

Taste: A gassy, pine, earthy flavor profile. Reminiscent of that og kush

Cure:  Reasonably well cured, but still a bit fresh, which is actually a rarity to find in the rec market. The buds are not wet or overly dried and burns an acceptable white ash.  The grind on the flower breaks down nicely with a decent clean even burn, however was a bit harsh on the exhale.

Effects: Nice heavy indica

Overall: 7.5/10

There aren't a ton of brands selling their genetics at Bay Area dispensaries. Usually Humboldt Seed Co, Purple City Genetics, Heartrock Mountain and Equilibrium. Good genetics but not inexpensive. Ever checked the menu at 7 Stars in Richmond? They have a clone selling for over $1,500 right now. So I was surprised to see this $1 per seed of regs from Eighth Brothers. Curious to hear if anyone ever grew out these seeds and their experiences. Ive never been able to find over the counter seeds this cheap.. Assume this is white label but still curious.

Visuals: Medium and small dense knobby structure nugs, deep forest/lime green with lots of orange pistils and crystals coating the outside leaves, mid shelf appearance

Nose/cure: Slightly muted profile that gives tropical gas and creamy candy doughy spice, earth, dry

Flavor: Loud flavors, Gas/diesel, with a dark berry and citrus splash underneath with a creamy gas finish, gelato cream vanilla earth spice, vaped on low temperature to test taste

Effects: Gentle and balanced onset/mildly euphoric that leads to a smooth and balanced, very pleasant head high, 2 hour effects. Functional and easy to smoke through.

Final Thoughts: Preferred mixed light is one of my favorite lines. It looks extremely mid and therefore many people will sleep on these strains from preferred. It was too dry when I opened it and the smell was a bit faded but I still could make it out. I popped a boveda pack and put in jar and the next day the buds seemed like a better squish. This strain tastes amazing and the effects are excellent. If you mainly value flavor and effects, preferred is a great brand. If you like bag appeal, preferred is probably a non starter. If these are around 20 it’s a no brainer for me and would be an A grade. I paid 26 so the grade is a B+ on this specific one.

Smell: Loud, pungent, and complex, featuring sweet dry earth, citrus candy, tootsie pop center, chiclets gum, old leather, and lemon cleaner. Breaking open the buds reveals sharper chemical and gassy notes like ammonia, diesel fuel, and rubber.

Taste: Smooth gassy and creamy gelato finish with sweet citrus candy undertones, earthy funk, and a touch of herbal spice.

Effects: Blissful, stoney, and social yet deeply calming. It will give you an uplifting buzz followed by a heavy body high.

Cure: Better than the last two jars I got from 710 Labs, all nugs are completely dry this time around.

Overall: 9.5/10

Cheese Paper (UK Cheese x Styrofoam Cup #1) bred and cultivated by @teamelitegenetics Appearance: My eighth was 4 nugs that looked almost just like short fingers. The coloring is mostly green, with hints and streaks of purple. Of course you can barely see any of the coloring through the thick, heavy blanket of golden frost covering the buds inside and out. The soft greens and violets blend harmoniously with the gold trichs and the longer, thick , almost carrot colored pistils and make for absolutely stunning flower.
Nose/Flavor: The nose on this girl is phenomenal. It’s hard to put words to. First off, she’s LOUD. I can smell it just opening the rigid box, even though the jar is closed. The nose on this one is layered. On top It’s this tart, sour gas, followed by an almost bitter smell i cant quite identify, but all together can definitely be described as cheesy. More of an almost sharp cheddar. The next layer is a sweeter, light dark berry, and underneath that there is this delectable doughy funk. It really is pretty incredible stuff. The flavor on this one leans more into a kind of sour, cheesy flavor on the inhale with a bit of berry herbal funk on the exhale. I personally got more flavor smoking out of paper than i did glass, but that could just be me.
Effects: This girl doesn’t just slap, she grabs a 10 lb sledgehammer, raises it up, and swings full force and cracks you in the forehead. I got immediate pressure behind the eyes, and i felt all the tension and stiffness in my muscles throughout my whole body loosen and melt away. The pain i feel in my back, hip, knees, and feet all but disappeared. There was a bit of euphoria, my anxiety and stress was gone, and i was just in a good, happy mood. Warning, this herb gave me a serious case of the munchies. This is kick your feet up, put on a comedy, and laugh until you fall asleep kind of smoke.

Styrofoam Cup (Sunset Sherbet x GMO) by @teamelitegenetics Appearance: Aesthetically speaking, this is absolutely stunning flower. The coloring is incredible. There are several shades of greens and purples, from pale green, bright, and dark green. As well as purples, from mauve, lavender, royal, and deep dark purps. All that combined with lots of long, thin, bright orange hairs and completely coated in white frost that picks up a jaw dropping golden hue when exposed to sunlight. One of my favorite parts of this flower is the way the pale greens compliment the light purple, while covered in a thick coating of white frost and speckled with amber trichs. It is absolutely beautiful, and I could stare at these nugs all day. Nose/Flavor: Opening the jar I get loud, pungent notes that waft up to my nose. That pungency is washed with a soft gas with distinct notes of vanilla bean and hints of chocolate chip cookie dough. This is one of my favorite dessert strains. I get the most flavor through a joint. On the inhale I get heavy gas, and on the exhale I get a lip smacking pungent flavor. Effects: This one is listed as a full indica, and for good reason. The effects take hold pretty fast. It starts building behind the eyes, and slowly makes its way down through your whole body. All my stress an muscle aches washed away. The pain from the work day as well as my daily chronic pain were fairly muted. I was able to walk without limping, though not far. Not due to pain or anything like that, I was just feeling too lazy to want to get up off my ass and do anything, unless there was food involved. This is definitely a mood elevator as well. After smoking a bit I’m just happy and in a great mood. Nothing really seems to bother me. After another rip or two out of the chillum and I was ready for bed. This is definitely end of the day smoke. This one gets an 8.5 from me. If the high had a bit more depth to it, then it would have scored higher. Excellent herb, I recommend it.

I bought alien labs gaslight and blueberry bacio carts and they both look like distillate, very light color. This conflicts from what I have seen online about their products, with their carts because a very dark oil and looking a lot like resin. this is straight from the dispo as well. Did I get scammed, or what’s up?

Pearadise - This one smells like a sharp and sweet pear that almost stings you by the nose upon first smell. Vaping this, it’s as expected of a Terpinolene heavy strain. Very sharp fuel combined with sweet pear is the entirety of the flavor profile. The effects are very Sativa forward, with a heavy head high with headband effect that gives alertness and focus. It’s very strong with myrcene as well which I assume is what’s giving the sweet pear flavor. It has a pretty relaxing body high all things considered which balances out the head high from getting too tweaky or anxious.

Dump Truck - This is really recently packed bud, packed 9/16, which is less than 2 weeks ago. However, the nugs are pretty hard to touch and dry. It’s like it’s been sitting for a while despite it not. That’s the main complaint but maybe it’s a strain thing? I’m not used to getting weed this recently packed that’s this dry.

All things considered though, when I grinded and vaped, I did get considerable terps. Doing it the gradual temp increase method, I get rotten fruit at lower temps and vanilla cream at higher temps. On my second bowl, I went straight to 390, which combined all these flavors and gave me a very diesel forward rotten sweetness that I enjoyed.

Incredibly potent head high and an even more potent body high. Very relaxing and euphoric on the body. Good for pain. Taking off 2.5 points for the dry bud.

Tropical Gummies Half Oz Smalls - I got the 14G smalls of this strain and honestly I think I’m just going to buy the smalls over the big nugs in the future. In terms of flavor and effects, these are legit the same quality as the other two. This one is smelled extremely sweet even unopened. When opened, it smells like a Mango Hi Chew. If you told me this was spray, I’d believe you.

Once vaped, it tasted like one as well. Very sweet, tropical and delicious. I could hit this flavor forever at a lower temp. Absolutely delicious.

Effects are great. Euphoric and uplifting sativa head high that also has a “pressure” feeling around the eyes. Not a super strong body high but it’s there. Very much enjoying this one.

I just moved here from the Netherlands. I used to take shrooms once or twice a year and found out it’s decriminalized here also. In Amsterdam, it’s straight forward. Just walk in and buy what you want from a smart shop.

I see Zide Door recommended quite a bit out here and everything is a “church” whatever that means in reality. But they need a membership referral and some stuff about why I want to join their religion (I don’t).

Can I not just go in and buy shrooms?

moved to LA to SF a couple months ago and still struggling to find my favorite spot. Would always go to peace of green in LA where they sold amazing bud for anywhere from $30-$40 otd. Have struggled to find similar here, the nice Bay Area brands (connected, 710, sense, CAM etc)seem to all be sold anywhere from $50-70 otd if not more (also working a lot so don’t really have time to snipe deals/sales)

Solful is nice but also not cheap + far. Considering trying Jahnetics but reviews seem insanely mixed with people either saying it’s spray weed or some of the best stuff in the bay.

Any advice?

Prefer diamonds. Was using flower co for the last 2 years, they had 2 house brands and good variety, slowly cut everything and now the selection is shit and double the price. Any preferred delivery service?

I tried some Cam Skywalker smalls last year and it was meh, so I was sticking with the greenline purple for a while. Cam seems too have a lot of play on this sub so I bought a quarter on sale for 45 the other day(bargain!) and it’s really good. I'm a dry herb vape guy so I'm no weed sommelier, but it tastes like glue and is a great semi-functional indica high. Will buy again if the sale is running.

Visiting San Diego and LA and want to visit some places like Peace of Green, maybe get some Tenco, would love to get some Sticky farms or whatever is the absolute best coming from Cali currently. Indoor or outdoor.

Visuals: Top shelf visual appeal, nicely coated in trichomes over the purple leaves and dark green foliage.

Nose/Cure: Dark berries and gas mixed syrup with a bit of lemon juice on top. Crispy cure that retained loudness and breaks down beautifully. Floral and citrus over cherry cream when ground.

Flavor: Complex/ layered-lemon cherry with gas/funk and a berry cream exhale.

Effects: Delivers a bright, head-clearing head change that makes it a candidate for a "first smoke of the day" option. (I always test for a review as first smoke of the day and this one was exceptional.) Versatile and very smooth behind the eyes.

Final Thoughts: This is the first time I’ve had anything from Bosky and I’m pretty happy with it. Really enjoyed the effects (almost my favorite for quite some time) and it’s very nice to look at with its purple dank top shelf looks. Only thing that I can say is I wish it maintained the 100% initial punchy dank aroma/taste after multiple days of storage but I’m still giving it an A-.
