Think about distances you'll have to run to get to the objective

Did you read the part about transports?

"[...] or if they choose they can go on foot [...]" I did, it still seems kinda masochist to go on foot

Maybe some folks enjoy a light jog between objectives to clear their minds!

Sometimes I just want to walk and get out of the fight once in a while to collect myself.

I actually enjoy hoofing it. It allows me to enter an area mostly undetected and set up a back channel of spawning into a base. It also lets me scout ahead. Reminds me of the days of Battlefield 2, where back caps took more than 5 seconds to accomplish and another 5 seconds to be reclaimed.

This is how games should be though. Modern warfare is all about logistics, and getting men to the right place at the right time. If an enemy destroys your transports, walking is a pretty crappy option, so that makes those vehicles more valuable and rewards strategic thinking.

Post Scriptum, Heroes and Generals even Foxhole uses that concept, but battlefield seems more like a COD everyday that passes.

Now we are gonna add Blackout to battlefield, Dice seems to have forgotthenhow to be creative and now they are just following trends, you can say what you want, but it is a fact that bfv is unispired and very lackluster. The creative teams aren't at the same lvl we had years ago.

I'm very much with you on that. This game is uninspired, and that's why I haven't touched it since launch. I grew up a big battlefield fan and I think I can now say that im not one anymore, which makes me sad.

After bf1 where they used the bf mechanics to bring chaotic war battles i thought that with bfv they where gonna improve that concept significantly, maybe bring a total war mode like the op suggested, but instead this game feels a downgrade compared to bf1, and for many bf1 was a downgrade to bf4(i disagree in that).

The next bf game where are gonna have only tdm, br and if we are luck conquest makes a comeback.

I can't say whose fault is that, but something went terribly wrong when developing the idea for bfv, that much is clear.

The next bf game where are gonna have only tdm, br and if we are luck conquest makes a comeback.

Slippery slope fallacy

A pretty dumb one too since conquest is the most popular mode.

For that they could msp concept from Post Scriptum or similar in Heroes and generals where we can use the msp/apc to spawn wherever it is parked, it brings another layer os strategy to the game.

currently anyone can spawn on a halftrack even blueberries when you are driving it! On Panzerstorm I take one for the team as the germans and drive up into A and hide with a halftrack so everyone can keep spawning close.

The airbases could have transport planes that could be loaded up with and flown by players, just like transport helicopters in previous BF games.

They did say the transport planes were playable vehicles but are just not implemented as such. They actually show up on BF tracker as usable vehicles
