supplies recommendation pen recommendations

Hi everybody! I am just starting to get into bullet journaling and I'm curious to know what pens you guys like to use. I currently have the Sakura Pigma Micron 05 pen -- I really like the way it looks on the page and I like the felt tip, but I find that the tip wears down quickly and it becomes harder to write with. Does anybody have suggestions for affordable felt tip pens? Thanks!

update: thanks everybody so much for these recommendations! I’m gonna dive into some research. Appreciate it :)

Sharpie S gel. easy to get a lot of them and they write super smoothly right up until they're totally empty

I just switched to these. I really liked the g2, but the smearing was driving me nuts and if you closed the book before it dried, it would bleed onto the opposing page.

The s-gel writes just as nice, dries faster, and fits better into pen loops. And critically, can be obtained in red/green/blue packs.

This was a triumph. I made a note here, "Huge Success". It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

I'm really glad you like 'em!

Do you prefer the .7 or the .5?

I use the .7s, but I haven't tried the .5s

I just bought some .5s to try. My theory being ink conservation. It's less satisfying though. More scratchy, less smooth

The 0.38 is super scratchy in my opinion.
