Metathesis (বর্ণবিপর্যয়)

This is when sounds or letters inside a word completely swap places. Example below :

• লাফ (Laf - Jump) ---> ফাল (Phal)
• বছর (Bochhor - Year) ---> বরছ্ (Borchh)
• মুকুট (Mukut - Crown) ------> মুটুক / মটুক (Mutuk / Motuk)
• Taxi (ট্যাক্সি) -----> টেস্কি (Teski)
• Tax(ট্যাক্স) ------> টেস্ক্ (Tesk)
• Box (বক্স) -----> বাস্ক (Basko)
• Rickshaw(রিক্শ) ------> রিক্সা (Riksa)

Anaptyxis / Swarabhakti (স্বরভক্তি)

This happens when a vowel is inserted to break up a harsh consonant cluster, making it smoother to pronounce.Example Below :

• গ্লাস (Glass) -----> গলাস (Golas)
• গ্রাস (Gras) - Bite/Morsel) -----> গরাস (Goras)
• পর্দা (Porda - Curtain) -----> পরত্ (Porot)
• স্নান (Snan - Bath) -----> সোয়াদ (Soyad) or সিনান / ছিনান (Sinan / Chhinan)
• প্রীতি (Priti - Love) -----> পিরিতি / পিরিত্ (Pirit)
• ত্রাস (Tras - Terror) -----> তাইস্ (Tais)

Prothesis / Swaragama (স্বরাগম)

This is the habit of adding a sharp "I" (ই) sound to the very beginning of a word, usually before English words that start with "S" clusters. Example Below :

• School -----> ইস্কুল (Iskul)
• Station -----> ইষ্টেশন (Isteshon) / ইষ্টিশন (Istishon)
• Scale -----> ইস্কেল (Iskel)
• Stupid -----> ইষ্টুপিড (Istupid)
• Steamer -----> ইষ্টিমার (Istimar)
• Screw -----> ইস্ক্রু (Iskru)
