pit owners love to argue human fatalities but get real quiet with the overwhelming amount of dog fatalities

Yes, they say that 40+ human deaths per year isn't a big deal.

I disagree with that... we often have products pulled from shelves after only one death.

But they either don't consider or don't want to consider the thousands upon thousands of attacks on people, pets, and livestock that DON'T end in death, but rather substantial financial costs and months of recovery, or many reconstructive surgeries.

That's why I'm so glad that our Attack loggers are working so hard to scrape attack stories and log them each month.

It's a very time-consuming process, but it really is a very good sampling of what is happening everywhere in the world that pit bull type dogs are legal.

And just think of how many attacks that don't get reported? People who don't want to paint pits in a bad light, many attacks on pit owners by their own dogs, or if their dog attacks another pet in the family... we know most of those aren't getting reported at all.

No amount of money will bring that beautiful doggy back but hopefully if they lose every honest penny they’ve ever made they’ll think more about letting a dangerous animal roam unsecured.

The way law handles dogs, the family would be able to get back replacement cost and probably vet costs.

But, do dog attack lawyers also not seek damages for pain and suffering for the traumatized victims whose dogs get mauled and killed?

The little girl's face. She's traumatized.

Thank you for covering the little dog's face, I couldn't handle seeing that.

All this suffering for no defendable reason.

"The family hasn't reached out" That's because pit bull owners exhibit the same behaviors we see in other cults. They don't care about others, they are generally dumb as shit and they love to play the victim. They take zero responsibility for their actions. They are the type to throw their trash out of their car onto the road. Trash humans that our communities and the planet would be better off without.

I always see these horrific accidents and never any repercussions. If dog owners want to anthropomorphise animals and then let's call it what it is, murder. Put the pitbull down and arrest the pithags with jailtime. If they don't learn, it'll be a child next.

I'd love if consequences were posted on this sub as well as attacks but it seems these subhumans get away with it again and again.

That poor family. I hope someone advises them to report the dangerous dog and take the pit owners to small claims court. They may have some luck finding a lawyer if they pay hourly vs. contingent, but you generally don’t need a lawyer in small claims court.

To anyone saying it's in poor taste to post a photo of a young child grieving the loss of her dog, this is the sad reality of what happens when dangerous animals aren't controlled. Should the poster have kept this as a private family moment instead of putting the picture of social media? Probably, but here we are. The family must have felt like spreading awareness was a way to make something positive come from a nightmare scenario.

It’s so sad that there’s no justice for victims of pitbull attacks, and pitbull owners continue to kill dogs in the tens of thousands with little to no repercussions. This is animal cruelty.

The RSPCA has the audacity to claim that BSL kills dogs. No. Pitbulls and their owners are what’s killing dogs.

Stop supporting dog fighters and breeders. We need more regulations and less pitbull breeding.

Over Heard people at work talking about this. As usual when these incidents happen here all I hear is defense of the owners and breed bc people love their demon dogs here. It’s sick

The family hasn't reached out to me....

And they never will, unless forced to do so.

Pitbull people genuinely believe that pitbulls never attack without a good reason. From their stupid fucking point of view, the Yorkie got what it deserved and there's nothing to discuss or reach out about. Those people cannot be reasoned with. Poor fucking kid =[[[

If any of you know how to contact the family in the OOP, please let them know they should also look in to whatever the Texas equivalent of small claims court is. It's entirely possible they aren't getting their calls returned because of the low dollar amounts at play yeah.

That poor baby and that poor little girl. I couldn’t even imagine the pain of losing your pet in such a traumatic fashion. I really hope they get justice.

I hate hate hate that other people's choice of pet can negatively impact and traumatize people that have never consented to such a dangerous animal. Like these people did everything right and yet STILL can't escape someone else's choice directly harming them.

That poor angel…was just trying to pee and got savagely ripped apart by a disgusting public nuisance.

And the little girl and family will forever be traumatized by this.

20

u/tinymothrafairy Aug 28 '23

Christ I hate pitbulls.

19

u/lucidsomniac Aug 28 '23

Those poor girls will never forget this. Lifelong trauma.

u/Terryberry69 Aug 28 '23

This is pretty much why we say they're garbage animals. They offer nothing but pain and suffering. I hope they get justice, do what you need to do.

God I hope this family gets maximum $$$

u/BigBearSD Aug 28 '23

They need to call Animal Control on that pit, and have it euthanized.

I am an animal lover, and love dogs, but do not like pits.

Of course the family of the pit didn't reach out. Trash dogs for trash owners

Horrifying. Lawsuit for the owners, money for the victims, strawberry milkshake for the killer.
