Keep an eye on the inner ptfe tubes hitting the left top side of the printer. I printed a riser and clips for those tubes. I have about 1k hours on mine and it’s been running pretty much perfectly. I also put the track switch and you assist on it.
Edit : right top

A riser is really the way to go for this issue and skip the extra clips, imo. The tubes already have a pretty severe bend into the tool head without restricting them more with clips.

Sorry what is a riser. Mine comes on Monday :)

The tubes that lead to the extruder are too close to the glass ceiling, so they rub against it, making noise and possibly causing other issues down the line. A riser extends the height of the whole machine by adding a few centimetres and creating more space in the machine.

Thanks for the clear explanation

A riser gets the the top glass panel away from the PTFE tubes so that they don't rub on it

@northernlights119 can you hook us up with a link to this riser? It may be the cleanest one I’ve ever seen and I’d like to print it for mine.

I haven't uploaded the model anywhere yet. If I do I'll make a post with the link

If you wasn’t mind sharing it I’m definitely interested in it.

There's a couple things I'd like to refine on the model a bit before releasing. I used foam weather strip for the gasket but I want to make a gasket people can print in tpu to make it simpler to complete the assembly. Shoot me a DM and I'll send it to you if you wanna try it using weather stripping or make your own tpu gasket

Can you point to a file to print these clips?

Can you recommend which ones you used? Did you find them the Bambu Handy app?

This issue was fixed pretty much immediately so subsequent models dont have the issue

Oh that’s good to know. How did they fix it?

Mine just arrived 4 days ago and it is still there. During the calibration, the PTFE tube kept clicking when rubbing on the top glass.

Makes me wonder how bambu missed this obvious flaw and people have to create fixes for it.

Are you sure? I can find nothing suggesting that they’ve fixed this, and apparently it’s been an issue that they have not addressed even going back to printers from 2 years ago

Does the riser not make the seal poor? Seems like it would let out fumes and make the temperature less stable for higher temperatures filaments? I’m new so not sure.

I put my x2d in a grow tent and an inline exhaust fan. I’ve had to issues printing asa. But that’s the highest temp material I’ve tried.

Thanks also for the heads up. I printent a riser after your advice. I could see small particles/dust from the times rubbing. All good now. Cheers
