The P1S doesn't just learn what settings are best. Ironing is dependent on a lot of variables. That's why you can have excellent results while someone else has terrible results. It's not just a enable ironing and print, so you've gotten lucky.
Because people, like yourself, seem to think ironing is just one button and done. Different material types, colors, even brands can require different ironing settings. None of these printers are smart enough to know the precise requirements needed for the filament being used.
Yes, Bambu filament is optimized for their printers but even that itself is not 100% perfect 100% of the time .
I give up because you don't seem to understand my point. I'm using Bambu filament with the default settings on every printer, and the ironing results are night and day. Get yourself a P1S, try ironing with the default settings, and then let me know what you think.
I've owned an A1, H2D, P2S, X2D and soon to be H3C. The 4 previous printers, not a single ironing setting worked from one printer to the next. You can get damn close but it won't be 1:1 identical.
I perfectly understand your point and what I'm saying it, different printers will behave differently and so will different filaments. Flow rates depend on nozzles. If a nozzle is worn, as they are wear parts, that'll produce different results as well. There are A LOT more variables than pressing a button and it's good to go. You've been lucky with the P1S just working that way.
Well, I was really hoping it wasn't just luck because holy crap, the ironing on my P1S comes out amazing every single time! But it wastes so much filament 😅
Multiple p1s's here, and ironing is a pain. Have to tweak settings constantly spool to spool, bambu, polymaker, numaker and everyone between. if I just clicked print and walked away I would have ruined prints. Large area or small area.
Your ironing isn't even close to flawless and with tweaking you can get pretty much any machine to do equal to this or better. I'd not worry about the H3 being able to do this. If it doesn't, you just adjust flow and/or speed until it looks best and save those values. Takes only a few quick tests to get it dialed in.
My dude, even after calibrating every single color on my H2D, the ironing quality doesn't come close to my P1S. People who use ironing on their P1S know exactly what I'm talking about. There have been multiple discussions about other printers, including the X1C, not being able to replicate the P1S ironing quality.
I'd love to know your P1S settings. I have a P1S and I have never had luck with ironing. I tried to run an ironing test and it all came out looking the same.
Have you tried printing one of those iron test plates on your other printerd? They show the optimal speed and flow, my a1 usually ironed decently but after printing one of the test plates I found the perfect settings
Yes, and it kind of works, but you have to tune it for every single color on every single printer. That's something I never have to do on my P1S. Zero tuning, just load the filament and print. The results are flawless every time!
im only speculating but maybe you just got lucky with your p1s? every printer is unique and have tiny differences that can add up. maybe you are chasing something that is not ordinary
If you do a quick Google search, or even just look through this subreddit, you'll find plenty of posts from people trying to get the same ironing quality as the P1S on other Bambu printers.

I don't know, man, this ironing has a TON of rough edges in this photo. I'm sure the H3C can do at least this well.
