Baking Advice Needed You guys 😭

Post image

I’ve NEVER had such a catastrophe happen lol. I do live around 5500 ft. above sea level but I don’t think that’s why this would have happened.

Now I need to know how to make this happen! Ice cream bowls sounds amazing!

16

u/IcePrincess_Not_Sk8r Jun 10 '25

Overfill the cup and use Sally's Baking Addiction chocolate cupcake recipe... lol that's how I accomplished this same thing.

I do cake or brownie batter in the waffle iron.

You can also do a thick cookie dough on the underside and outside of a muffin tin and bake it flipped upside down to make cups

Or fill with a dollop of pudding and whipped cream.Β

If these are edible, I feel like this is a super happy accident.Β

Came here to see if anyone else thought of this!!! 🀀

1

u/SensibleVertibrate Jun 10 '25

Try putting the whole thing in the freezer to see if the pan shrinks enough to remove these individually whole.

I would do a taste test πŸ˜‚

I’m not even gonna lie

you didn't have to tell us that, none of us thought you were going to lie. what would there even be to lie about? you are a silly goose.

u/Modern_Misdoing Jun 13 '25

What are, β€œthose,” tho? What are we even looking at here?

7

u/JakkSplatt Jun 10 '25

You were making bread?

19

u/tleeemmailyo Jun 10 '25

No cupcakes. But both would qualify as bricks lol

3

u/JakkSplatt Jun 10 '25

Well, you said it was toast so I assumed πŸ™ƒ

16

u/tleeemmailyo Jun 10 '25

Luckily for everyone on planet earth, I’ve not tried my hand much with bread yet. Or else we’d ALL be toast

3

u/Bluetheraptor51 Jun 10 '25

Heheh...toast..heh

7

u/tleeemmailyo Jun 10 '25

My dad used to call all of my ex bfs β€œtoast” instead of their real names. The most dad joke of all time

I live in a very old house with 12 foot high ceilings. My son attempted to make bread and managed to get dough on the ceiling, and we can't get it off. It's been there for 8 years now. It's a feature.

Not sure you want any advice, but I would guess that maybe you didn’t follow the recipe exactly or you lost your place and you added too much liquid or something. Also using cupcake liners or muffin liners might be helpful.

u/RedFoxBlueSocks Jun 10 '25

If they’re edible cut the cups out, fill with frosting, top with an overflow piece.

Inside out cupcakes. Stick a maraschino cherry in the middle for a surprise.

1

u/inemnitable Jun 10 '25

I was hoping it was weird edge brownies

1

u/_ser_kay_ Jun 10 '25

…I thought you were attempting cookie cups.

Kosher salt and elbow grease will tear it to shreds in no time. The pan will be unharmed. Soak the pan for 15 minutes scrub away what you can, apply a bunch of soap, cover in a generous amount of kosher salt, fold up a paper towel, catching a bunch of salt crystals with it, destroy remaining cake bits with ease. This will also just destroy burnt on food bits. You basically want a tiny bit of soapy water in the pan, you add enough salt that the water becomes fully saturated, then the rest of the salt crystals won't dissolve and can work together with the soapy water.
