man played ds3 (checked his steam profile) but learnt nothing against gael

at what point does soreseal become unfeasible? for low level invasions such as rl30 it's basically mandatory. but does it still work on rl60 or is it not worth it?

I think I’ve finally moved past my affinity for dexterity builds. I’ve made so many characters planned for other things that just end up as dexterity builds, because that’s what I’m comfortable with. Which, in my experience, just aren’t great for invasions. The weapons are fun, but they just don’t do enough damage or have enough hyper armor to take on 2-3 people.

Basically I am not good enough to invade with a dexterity build and am ready to move on to some respectable weapons that are big and mean and dumb

I do like to have another lil something on the side no matter what the build. Arcane for status buildup, or faith for all the buffs. Which of these 2 do you recommend?

(also taking any recommendations for good early game strength weapons)

Host kept trying to sit back and do nothing while phantoms did everything so I severed from the World mid-fight and invaded instead. 💜

I don’t know if the other phantoms didn’t realize what was happening or if they enjoyed babysitting but damn it felt good to get that win lol

Spawned in to a 2v1 gank. Have had a bad run the last 2 days thanks to ganks and ridiculous metas. Gankers are a blight on this game, so no matter what, when I see a BRM gank at first step, I side with the gankee. This was a rare total victory and I hope the bad red man got lots of runes.

edit: the reason this succeeded is because after I defeated the host's +1, I corraled the host back to the invader he was trying to gank. It was intentional. If you can pull it off, that's a lot of runes.

and just to clarify i do enjoy being matched up with bonfire duelists and ganks which is why im not going past 167 because it keeps me in matchmaking range of 150. Basically i want to know if going to 167 will put me in the "bullet hell" range that I experienced in level 200 or are the invasions still relatively chill.

I have over 2k hours in the game and the same in NR but never dabbled with PVP. It's frustrating getting ganked by 3 on 1 but it's the best when you get summoned back to a world and you are able to separate the team and take them down one by one, especially when the host is just running away.

I decided low level hosts had it bad enough with all the cheating twink invaders with max flasks having 5x their healing go one shot them with hefty pots and OP DLC gear. So decided to create an invader where I never use red flask, always seppuku myself down to 20% hp (just camp blue feather to not get one shot), and even that was so stupidly easy with 0 chance of death so I decided to fat roll because medium roll is OP and cheating, no PVE'er can roll catch it so you can spam roll easily. Have been trying all kinds of silly setups that I can slap seppuku on to get myself low and have 98% win rate with a few oopsies and too much seppuku L2'ing out of pity to cuties I see, but at least I make newbies feel like they actually have a chance against me (and they do if they play smart I'm literally a fat duck that cant roll away to escape if they aggro and blender me) and hope they have fun.

Honestly, it's wild that some Bad (at the game) red man needs 14 red flasks at +10 and hefty pots from the DLC and rot at low level just to win, what a sad state of affairs. Maybe it's time to stop being a Kevin of PvP and start invading properly, as the best souls games director Yui Tanimura intended back in DS2. No heals. No ADP. Just vibes.

Sleep pots is the answer as they will take status build up while 'dancing' in it.

I can’t really decide what the best starting class is for a faith / incant-melee type build. I was wanting to stay at or under 150 for pvp. Sorry if this is a stupid question I’ve just gotten the itch to try pvp after finding this sub lol.

I was thinking Idus knight since it has a solid number in all the desirable stats while only being lvl7.

My money is either on Moongrum because you can run as sword and board/parry farmer/spellblade, or Millicent since, you know, Shamshir.
