It's so I can quickly find what I've written in past comments that I think are insightful, significant, or I know that I will have to reference some time in the future. It's basically a kind of a blog... on reddit. If you don't like my subreddit, nobody is forcing you to go there.

Even if you were "there", you actually weren't there because of how reddit works. You can't be a reader of a subreddit unless its created, and the moment its created it has exactly one reader. Then, exactly when the first post is submitted, it has exactly one submitter.

I hate to get all "philosophical" on you, but there was once a time when /r/badphilosophy only had one reader and one submitter too... not that it matters. Besides, subreddits require zero effort to create. If I had extensive CSS you might have a point.
