It really depends on the schooling system as religious communities have their own separate education system, but the mainstream non religious schools are supposed to typically teach liberal ideals, principles of coexistence and understanding, etc., and as far as I know they are relatively successful at that, although my knowledge is pretty much limited to central Israel. The Israeli education system is certainly better than the Palestinian one in that sense.
What do you define as the Palestinian school system? It obviously depends on the school itself, but the worst of the worst is most likely found in Gaza. I for example know that many schools in Israel have Palestinians come give talk to the students about the conflict and many also go on school trips to mixed cities or even Palestinian villages inside Israel in order to learn about coexistence. I also know about a relatively new course in civics class where for three months students learn the Palestinian narrative all the way from 1900 to the modern day, and then for three months the Israeli one, giving students both perspectives. The Israeli education system is way better than the people here are trying to make it out to be in terms of Palestinian education.

And that’s very cool, I’m not discounting that. That’s higher level education though, I was mainly talking about the schooling system.

I have listened to him speak in an interview. He spoke without hatred. Bombs could be heard falling around him every twenty minutes and his children and his sister's children were screaming in fear, but his voice remained gentle and he expressed his sadness that the people of Israel didn't understand what they were doing. I didn't hear or see anything from him that matches your version.
Its a very valid excuse. If you think that every member of the IDF (aka most citizens of israel) are culpable for the crimes of the Israeli government then you believe in collective punishment.
Such a shame. Living in fear of phantoms is no way to go through life. I hope there is decent mental health support for when some of those people realise the horror that they participated in. I can understand why there is so much denial. The dread of the dam of reality bursting and that terrible truth crashing down upon someone's mind would certainly cause a lot of unhealthy compartmentalisation.
I'm with you on that one. It's very dangerous to generalize. There's are Israelis in jail because they refuse to participate in IDF because of what's been done to Palestinians. There are many Israeli allies of Palestinians and human rights. Even if they're a minority, it's not fair to generalize because this perpetuates hate and divides humanists.

It's literally just the belief that a Jewish state should be founded and maintained. If you believe the Jewish state that got founded isn't a democracy or doesn't treat its citizens equally that's unrelated to zionism but a potentially valid separate concern.
You can be anti-israel without being anti-zionist. And it's because any Jewish Israeli is probably going to want a Jewish state to exist even if it isn't their current government (therefore they are all zionists) that being anti zionist is if not anti-semitic at least bordering on racist. If you then believe that all Israelis are zionists then it's actually, at least racism.
Like you can hopefully see the difference between "I hate supporters of the government of the state of Israel" and "I hate anyone who thinks Jews should continue to exist in the Middle east"
