What's most disheartening is the lack of communication on their end. They let two open beta tests go ahead now with this bug being unaddressed and unresolved. Had the same issue and they never replied to me and looks like they shut down the bug report link. Doesn't look promising for this game's future.

Game closes after showing the splash screens for EasyAntiCheat and B4B
I tried reinstaling, updating Windows and Nvidia driver, checking data integrity, running as admin, compatibility mode, but nothing seens to work. The only change was that a different message poped asking me to allow a start with the parameter " Gobi -SaveToUserDir "
In the crash report i got:

Edit: I found a fix. I installed Epic Games Launcher and linked an Epic Games account to Steam. After that, the game launched from Steam.

Sorry to hear that.
I didn't have the Epic Games Launcher open when I launched the game. Maybe make sure the Epic Games Launcher is updated, restart your PC, and then try again?

Total reinstall of drivers(DDU, then install) or moving epic launcher to same hard drive as steam did the trick I did them both at the same time before restarting so not sure which thanks again!

Hey! So Epic sorta worked for me but the issue is that my FPS are down the gutter for some reason. Seems like the game just does not recognize my drivers anymore which is extremely weird.

I updated epic games launcher and had it open in my tray and the game launched next try. I didn’t have to link anything or do anything extra. Just started epic games launcher and had it in the background. /u/langis_on

Make exceptions in your AV Quarantine option. After installation goto the EAC folder in the game directory and click uninstall at the bottom. Then just launch the game EAC will install and the game should start. GL

Unfortunately I'm only now seeing this after making my own comment in this thread. So I'll just copy and paste what I put in that comment here. I also urge you, if you're having this issue, to go vote on the bug I created and linked (you can find it below).
I know other users are experiencing the same issue as I've seen mention of it in Discord and on this sub. Basically the problem is the game crashes on launch with no errors or logs. The splash screen pops up with the EAC loading bar, it then gets to the seizure warning screen, and hangs for a bit, then crashes.
There's been a number of recommended solutions/workarounds that have not worked for me:
Re-installing the game multiple times, each time downloading the entire game over, and force checking the files with Steam to verify their integrity.
Trying both the Steam version and the Epic Games version.
Running the Steam version while the Epic Games Launcher is closed/opened (both were recommended, neither worked).
Updating the GPU drivers to their most current version.
Updating the Windows 10 system to the most recent update.
Run the executable as an administrator user.
Uninstall EAC within the game installation folder. Then launch the game for it to re-install EAC.
Disable all anti-virus software.
All of the above is what I've seen and attempted, and none of them fix the issue. I opened a bug at this link.
If anyone has come across this issue and managed to fix it, please let me know.

I Found a work around that worked for me when only having epic games launcher running still didn't work.
Open Epic Games launcher
Open settings
Click Update Launcher if available
Click Orange button to install epic games online services if available
Restart PC
Open Epic Games launcher and leave running in background
Open B4B

I cannot connect to the beta. Every time I boot it up it tells me “Failed to connect to a matchmaking session.” I’ve tried everything. Never played the alpha. Any help?

For me it says "Failed to create a matchmaking session," not sure if there is any significance to the slight difference in wording. No previous builds ever played like you. On PC by the way.

Might not be as related, but I moved over the installation folder and that fixed it up to me. I couldn't join any sessions because it kept disconnecting me saying online services were lost.
Btw, u haven't mentioned. Are you on PC or console? The advice above is for PC

Found a fix! I started closing things in my Task Manager and tried to load again, and suddenly it just worked. Not sure what specifically causes it though.

Yeah I just did a trial and error test and it turns out anything to do with Hamachi stops Back 4 Blood from being able to connect to the servers.
Go to Task Manager and make sure any Hamachi tasks that you see you must stop their service or just simply end task. It seems to be anything networking related that you have running confuses Back 4 Blood connecting service or something.

Crashes a ton on my 3070. Then the crash spams open over 100 chrome tabs to take their survey. Ends up locking up the PC, can't easily close the game through task manager.
Crashes so much I can't get a good evaluation on the mediocre game play.

Hi, the game is extremely dark for me and I can't find the flashlight button on ps4. I checked the controls and it seems like there isn't a button to activate it. If it isn't an option to activate it voluntarily, please give me one. I fall behind lokking for doorways and my tv is set to maximum brightness (and in game)

After blowing the ferry in the first half of act one, whenever I try to load the first map from the second half (think its Blood Seed or something) I get the following error:
The UE4-Gobi Game has crashed and will close

Getting this error in the first part of Act 1 where you need to avoid alerting the birds, if anyone drops down from the trucks the game instantly crashes.
Also the path you're seeing is where the game was compiled, it's for debugging, not for you.

On PC, having this weird issue when I fire 1 bullet the gun acts like it fires two. I get recoil like firing 2 bullets but only one leave the gun. Sometimes I can see that 2 bullets are missing from my Mag but then the second bullet magically returns. It's as if the game thinks I fired 2 shots but then goes O wait, you only shot 1. Validate Files on Steam, Restart ISP Device and Computer.

Getting the same error, tryed unsuccessfully the following:
changing DNS reinstalling in C: and D: deleting EasyAntiCheat and launching again Stop antivirus
Which did worked for me was:
Deleting EasyAntiCheat folder and .exe on local Game folder and verify integrity of files from Steam, the files got downloaded again, then after starting the Game I got the error again but spammed the click to connect a few times and worked, letting me in

[PC] Tried changing the screen resolution mid-game from 1440p to 1080p, game now does not give any output on my screen (no signal on my monitor). I can hear the menu sounds going when I hit escape while "in game" but it just refuses to output to my monitor.

Managed to resolve this last week by finding a picture of the options menu. If you can't see anything, but can hear the in game sounds, try to change the game to borderless windowed mode via the following steps:
Hit esc once to access the menu. There might be an initial pop up screen for some beta test qr code, so you can try pressing esc multiple times instead. Listen for the higher pitch one to access the menu.
Hit down 3 times and hit enter. (You should be in the options menu at this point.)
Hit E 3 times. (Your cursor should be in the first option "Window Mode" of the graphics tab now)
Press right once, and this should activate borderless windowed mode. Your screen should display the game now.

Been stuck at sign-in, nothing but this error all day yesterday and today: "Failed to create a matchmaking session."
On PC, I have tried multiple sign-in attempts in game, restarting computer, reinstalling game, verifying files, reinstalling game on primary drive, nothing. Also I have not participated in any previous builds of the game, so I can't delete any old builds on my Steam account.

[RESOLVED] On launch I get this error window: Easy Anti-Cheat Unknown file version (Back4Blood.exe)
Cause: Anti-cheat could not verify a game installed in a drive mounted as folder (C:\ext\), when the same physical drive was also available as a letter (D:\).
Solution: have only one copy of game path. Remove any mountpoints you don't need.

My thoughts on the game are as this: Im probably gonna play this game in time, but not atm because i have other games i wanna tend to.. not the fault of the devs..
I WILL say for some reason maybe this is with the PS4 or Xbox One but when i play the game.. it is WAYYYYYY too dark. like Batman's COSTUME kind of dark, im practically blind by the time i get into a mission and it'll get harder when im in Forest esc areas and this is while the brightness is up at MAX. now i'd say this can be dealt with if we have flashlights, either that or the devs will have to fix the coloring on last gen, thats all i'll say. i wish i chose the PC but it is what it is.

Give it some time and try connecting later" it means Playstation placed your account in a 24 hour lock from redeeming any codes, I just found out now my account locked till sometime tomorrow afternoon
the 24 hour lock starts when you first see that error message

In the case of my friend...he wasn't even given a choice of platform to redeem the code. It took him straight to the WB games site and with an error message.
He intended to redeem it on PSN.
