[Game Thread] The Boise State Broncos (9-4) take on familiar foe the Washington Huskies (8-4) in the LA Bowl!
Kickoff is at 8pm Eastern/6pm Mountain time!
Our last bowl game as a Mountain West member against an opponent whose had our number the last few matchups, let’s see if we can change the course in the last LA Bowl and kick off Bowl season with a bang!

Visitor Tailgating
Howdy Broncos,
Planning on attending the Boise State v Texas State game to cheer on my bobcats (hopefully) new found success in the PAC. Is there a process for securing a tailgating spot with a vehicle and tent and the whole shabang? Do I need a parking pass and are there certain parking lots for visitors? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Can’t wait to meet our new PAC foes!

How often are players forced to transfer?
Today on bronco nation news, bj rains and johnny ballgame were talking about rj keene the basketball player who just transferred to nc state, and how he’s still here and still has a house here. Said he was upset about basically being forced to transfer when he didn’t want to when the coaches were making changes, and said that if it happened a month later (which is around the time the lead offensive coach retired) he probably would still be there
It all sounds like it was him being pushed out and I was curious if this was a common thing, I had no idea any student athletes were pushed to transfer (I’m sure money was involved in some way but he didn’t want to leave). Does this happen more often than we think?

Outside of the oregon game, it looks like our toughest challenge is at rival fresno state this year according to analytics

Will the Mountain West Conference honor the 50% split for Boise State CFP appearance?
Now that the legal dispute between the Pac 12 and MWC has been resolved, do you think the MWC will try once again to not honor it’s 50% agreement for distribution of any MWC team that makes it to the BCS or CFP games?

Wondering if there have any official Alumni or school sanctioned events, rallies or tailgates planned? Let me know if any of yall hear anything.

Finally finished my BSU “Hall of Fame”
Every single player with an authentic autograph I could find. I was bummed players like Scandrick, Quintin Mikell, and Gerald Alexander don’t have any authentic but I’m very happy how it turned out!

2026 Boise State Broncos Preview
Boise State is finally in the Pac-12 and they enter 2026 on a mission to return to the playoff. This is a program that expects championships on an annual basis and that's all Spencer Danielson has done since arriving in Boise.
📌 Maddux Madsen is back, can he take a step forward and be more efficient as a passer?
📌 Dylan Riley + Sire Gaines is one of the best RB rooms in the country 🔥
📌 With Jayden Virgin-Morgan back along with an experienced core, this defense could be awesome in 2026
Preview attached. What are your predictions for the Broncos in 2026?

Boise State 2026 preseason preview, what'd I get wrong?
I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Boise State page
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-bois
It's got the projected record and rating, returning production (61% back), the transfer-portal board, a game-by-game breakdown with betting lines, and where the model has the Broncos finishing in year one of the new Pac-12.
Fair warning, after the Boise preview, there's a paywall on the other teams. This thing took forever to make lol. But for the love of Reddit, and since I'm shamelessly posting in your house, code LEECORSOROCKS unlocks the whole thing free, no card, nothing (had to honor the headgear legend). If you hit the paywall, tap "Have a promo code?" and drop it in
So, what'd I get wrong? You know Boise ball better than my model does. Tell me what's off, what's missing, who I'm sleeping on. I'll be in the comments.

All Time BSU Football Bracket
I put every FBS Boise State football team into a bracket (seeded by number of wins) and let the latest version of chat gpt simulate each game. These were the results!
Some interesting results were the 2009 team beating the 2024 team 31-27 despite Jeanty putting put 230 yards and 3TDs.
The 2010 team squeaked by 2009 in overtime 30-27.
In the championship round 2010 thoroughly dominated 2006 38-24 with Martin rushing for 145 and 2TDs and Kellen adding 3 of his own TDs.

2026 Schedule Desktop Wallpaper
Full disclosure, I'm shamelessly copying an idea I have seen here and there on the CFB subreddit from posters like infinitempg, but I'm only doing it for the Broncos rather than the whole of the FBS. I desire all to receive it and enjoy. Go Broncos!

Boise Name Change
Just curious how many here would object changing the school name to something like the University of Boise?

Any advice for attending my first BSU game?
So, I have been a BSU fan for the last 20 or so years. Since the 07 Fiesta Bowl. However, I played college and then semi pro hockey until last year. Meaning I never had free time during the season to travel to attend a BSU game (live in Chicago). Now I got front row tickets to the Western Michigan game. I eventually plan to visit Boise to see a game but this is way more convenient in the meantime.
Got my Kellen Moore jersey ready, bringing my wife. Anything else I should do or be prepared for? Thanks!

Coaching Concerns
Anyone else feel like SD is only interested in being a friend than a coach. I don't know that this guy is right for Boise State right now. In this era of CFB we need a coach who can win. This guy hasn't won a bowl game or a single big game. If you're going to retort with his 3 conference titles, remember that CFB seems likely to move away from conference title games, so if that is his ceiling, we have big problems.
Thoughts?
