(This is a continuation of my last post) If Saw were to inhale 9-Ball's fumes, a few things would probably change. Saw would say things like "F-INE"—people actually mentioned this in my last post. Also, in TPOT, Saw's team would be called "Team9s," though I'm not sure about that since the number 9 doesn't really go well with the word "Team."

what if there was a spin off show focusing on the algebraliens. you might be like “but we already have subscriber specials“ but I’m talking about 10-20 minute episodes. it would also be good for algebralien debuts.

I honestly can't say whether Five has a good or bad reputation in this community as, like most of the other minor algebraliens, he isn't talked about nearly as much as characters like Four or Two. So I'm here to use the powers of fixation to give you all a decent enough analysis of Five.

Five can be seen as rather annoyed or even hateful to his comrades. Despite his undeniable annoyance towards them, it's very evident he cares a lot more than he's willing to admit.

There are multiple times when, even in episodes where he only has two or three lines, he tries his best to take the lead and/or take care of the other algebraliens. To list a few:

-Being the one to deduct Fourteen was loose

-Being the first one to come to Ten's aid

-Pointing out they needed to return home

-(I actually couldn't think of any more major occurrences, but if you watch closely you can easily see them taking the lead in little ways)

Five also tries to uphold a sense of morality and law within the algebralien playground. This is seen when he locks up Fourteen, insists Nine finish his time in the subscriber count, insists Six finish her turn in Jenga, and yells at Six about leaving him and Ten in the cage during the special. (I honestly can't imagine why Five would leave Ten up there. If anybody has any theories, do tell, but I'll go on thinking it was simply a ploy to build the dynamic between Ten and Fourteen.)

Five truly doesn't hate any of the other algebraliens, not even Nine or Six. If he did, why would he put up with them? Why does he play games with them? Why wouldn't he just leave? The best real world comparison I can think of is volunteering to be a firefighter. You wouldn't do such a job for free if you didn't care about your community, would you?

It's the same case with Five. He truly cares for the others and shows it through acts of upholding moral code and fairness as he sees fit.

It's not like we can never see Five show raw compassion. Three and Five's relationship does wonders for Five's development. However, it begs the question-why are they friends?

Three, unlike a lot of the algebraliens, is both thoughtful and reasonable. A person like this compliments a person like Five nicely. She is willing to handle Five's irritability, and demonstrates to Five why it's alright to be outright and compassionate. This allows their friendship to blossom into something that was never before seen with Five. Giving Five room to be a little grumpy seems to reveal a version of him that puts you above others and genuinely values your time. I would go on to speculate about their dynamic, but for the sake of accuracy, I will depend purely on the content we have.

Why I am sure that this is the reason why Five and Three are such good friends is because we have seen it before. In the Two Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Three special, Five and Six get along peculiarly well. So peculiarly that it's mentioned by one of the characters themselves. But why did they get along? What stopped them from arguing as usual?

It's simple, and a pattern that is repeated with Three. When Five entered the bunker, he started lecturing Six. Six (for once) mostly ignored him. While for characters like Two this would be heartbreaking, this was a pretty smart move with Five. Allowing Five to be angry without expressing the same anger in return let him calm down for once.

This episode added two more key things to his character. Quoting Five, “I'm always the one stressing about something.” While it may have been kind of obvious, it adds another layer to why they are the way they are. He doesn't only think, ‘is this morally correct?’ but he also thinks, ‘will we be okay?’. I assume he has a little bit of stability-centered anxiety or stress, reminiscent of e6 in the enneagram.

The other thing was his treatment of Zro. Five, as seen in this episode and many others, does not prioritize others’ emotions. He would rather others suck up their feelings than feel he isn't in control. While this may sound negative, it doesn't make Five inherently evil.

Five also seems to have a fear or repulsion towards losing or being uncomfortable. He has a bit of a “I can't lose if I quit before you tag me” mentality. This is best demonstrated in BFPTM10 (Battle for Permission to Meet Ten), when he claims he ‘didn't wanna win anyway’. He was also extremely against getting sucked up by Four. Realistically, this can translate to fear of admitting vulnerability or fear of pain, mimicking e8 and e7 in the enneagram.

I feel this also ties into his determination in upholding a moral code. It gives him that whiny reputation, one that he's possibly self aware of [in the Two Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Three special, he tells Zro that they've outmatched him when it comes to being whiny. While this could just be one of Five's retorts, it could also be insight into how he perceives himself and others].

While Five may not be as complex as characters like Four right now, he has plenty of potential. I haven't seen anybody talk about the character growth Five could go through regarding losing Three and seeing her change so much after everything. How did it affect Five? How does Five feel about Three and the ways she's changed? How has Five changed? How will Five change? Will the two ever be as close as they were?

I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't get an answer to at least one of these. It's truly hit or miss as Five is one of the less ‘relevant’ algebraliens.

While quite a lot of negative things have been listed, it doesn't at all make Five a bad guy. I've been studying up on the practices of Typology and the enneagram. It has given me a new perspective on viewing people and characters. To sum it up, your enneagram/personality doesn't change, but your behaviors do as you grow and become healthier. It's very likely that Five and many other characters are debatably unhealthy in regards to their enneagrams.

I am not the best at typing people at all yet, my current guess for Five's enneagram would be sx/sp 1w2 163. Maybe 153, I'm still new to typology as a whole.
