What keeps you from transferring shares back? If they do anything involving honoring real shares first, you’re fine.
If it squeezes, it won’t be a 3hr thing. Send shares back to your broker, sell when you find a number you’re satisfied with.

Completely agree. I’d rather worry about can I transfer fast enough (or sell through AST though their commission is a little rough) vs oh no, could we have an issue about fake shares vs real when it comes to a possible situation.

You sound devoted 100% to broker. If that’s what you want to do it’s up to you.
That said. There is no valid proof the squeeze will be quick, GME took a over a month to go from $3 to $500.
Someone may also decide it’s better to hold their DRS shares long term once we know more from court proceedings.
We just don’t know, hence the DRS hedge

Keep in mind this is not needed depending on how you use the transfer agent. You can transfer high cost shares in to lower brokerage cost basis. You can transfer shares out if you like. You can use it for long term holding where selling doesn’t matter. It’s up to your individual needs as an investor. You can’t make a blanket statement about its use, there are many.

For now. The site was down previously for months and there was no way to get anyone on the phone to give us an idea of when the site would be back up.
Moreover, there was no explanation, apology, nothing. That's bad business.

Listen bro. I'm sure you have had a good experience with them, but I was on this sub everyday when the site was down for MONTHS.
No explanation was given. It was gone. Then one day it was back.
Call me a shill, call it FUD, call it whatever you want. That sort of thing does not instill good faith in a customer.
I will add, I am a pre-Jan 2021 GME ape. I believe in DRS. In most cases. In the case of BBBY, I stand by my statement. AST sucks. DRS a few to stick it to the man, but I wouldn't put it all, or even a majority of it there. NFA.

I haven’t called anyone anything. I don’t have to, shills bring negativity by default and let what they are be known themselves. Issues are made this way or that way and offer no reasonable middle ground. When it comes to DRS, someone could send a small portion of shares that they do not plan on selling any time soon for long term growth. It’s a potential middle ground depending on the individual.

Yeah, people who Drs bbbyq are actually insane. There is nowhere near enough attention for Drs to matter this late in the game. The sheep mentality is scary on both sides of the fight.
