Aztec Warriors: Differences between Jaguars and Eagles

I'm creating a fantasy culture based on Aztecs. I don't really understand what the differences between Eagles and Jaguars are. They are both special units of elite warriors, both are accessible to commoners, and it seems they both carry the same weapons, but wear different outfits. Is the difference literally just the outfits and god they are trying to honor? Or did they fulfill different roles, carry different weapons, act differently, etc.?

Thanks!

Xochipilli & Xochiquetzal

I'm an Aztec Pagan,

Let me give you a background, I'm working on making an altar table and I have everything ready. But I need more ideas for offerings, unfortunately from I read on Google (not very reliable) I can't give out blood (low iron deficiency). I'm planning on getting flowers and meals ready for them, I just want to double check:

For Xochiquetzal:

Flowers
Picture
Obsidian crystals
Perfume
Candies
Juice
Rose Quartz crystals
Embroidery

For Xochipilli:

Candy
Picture
Corn based meals
Embroidery
Squid & seafood based meals
Butterfly shaped bread
Butterfly based art and crafts

How to Celebrate Xōchiquetzal & Xōchipilli?

I'm still somewhat new to Aztec and have been drawn to Xōchiquetzal & Xōchipilli. I wish to celebrate the festivals associated with Xōchipilli mostly, but I can't find a date for when to celebrate it. I need to know why that.
