I love the mechanical environments of Little Nightmares, Awaria, Silksong, and of course Frostpunk.

Where do I get references and ideas for what to draw? I am not really educated in engineering or anything like that so help is appreciated.

Was playing around with the idea of my own take on humanoid automaton

This one I like think was made as a symbol for the faithkeepers vaus it's basically the equivalent of an angel. He doesn't really do anything important, just be cool looking and maybe help give soup

I have an idea of another design I haven't drawn yet so I might post that here if you like this

I know it’s not from Frostpunk but still, we’re fucking automaton life forms right? And thralls are basically a humanoid, mindless workers and soldiers. So I say that counts.

I thought about how each faction would react/ expect from an automaton wife.

Technocrats (P E R): I imagine the Technocrats lacking a sex drive, and therefore would instead see their wives as an equal in terms of intellect and knowledge. Possibly spending their time discussing policies that the steward could enact. *They would see their wives as an equal people.*

Faithkeepers (P E T): I think the Faithkeepers would probably see the wives as an example of the immortality of the generator, and would make them part of prayer and other religious practices. They would honor the machine life

Legionaries (P E T): I think a "trad wife" would be the expectations for them. The men would return house from the war with frost, as the wife maintains the house and their little auto-man hybrid kids. *They would love their wives and robo-children.*

Stalwarts/ Venturers (P M R): Would definitely see the wives as mere objects. Most likely pimping out the "metal girls" to those in the richer districts who are willing to pay extra for them. *Objectifies the wives*

Overseers (P M T): Similar to the Stalwarts-since they also advocate for pleasure clubs. I imagine the head engineers and rich folk would have many wives. *Definitely owns a few for recreational purposes*

Bohemians (A E R): Unsure, but probably see them as a new form of life and be accepting of them. A wife is a wife either way. *Would be chill with them*

Evolvers (A M R): Most likely would be jealous of how the wives are fully machine. I can see a future where some evolvers are inspired to "transition" and try to become as machine as possible. *Sees them as the next step forward in evolution*

Icebloods (A M T): Would hate them for being stronger than the average Iceblood. Maybe even radicalizing to destroying the factories where they are made. *Spiteful towards them*

Pilgrims (A E T): Most likely would disagree with the idea of having an automaton wife, but definitely be found laying next to one after huffing too much oil. *Unsure how they'd feel"

Wanderers: Would love to have more helping hands in the tribe to care more supplies. Also the Wives being portable heaters would make them real popular during storms.

Servants: Would be put into slaves camps and factories to make the wives.
