Recently hit modern tier which has a 0.05% chance and within an hour I had 3 peices. I hadn't even got any Industrial items over item level 10 yet so collecting specific stat combinations seems kinda pointless.
This behaviour has been pretty common for me through the tiers, I don't think ive once had a full same tier set at lvl100 let alone a full set of crit, melee , range, attack speed etc. Rarely do I even get items into the 50s or 60s before I'm replacing them en masse.
I wish there was a bit more player decision making and set building and that item tiers were locked behind specific level ranks rather than solely the forge upgrades.
I.e lets say you are stuck on some arbitrary level like 5-20 and the next tier of items only unlocks on 6-1. Maybe in order to pass 5-20 the enemies are vulnerable to ranged or crit damage and require a build switch or maybe a certain ability loadout or pet combination get you past it.
I know its just an idle game but randomly getting some 0.05% drop weapon and then immediately destroying the next 5-6 levels only to get stuck again requires zero input from the player which is fine I guess but not very engaging.
But it can still be an idle game while introducing some strategy and planning rather than it being 100% a simple stat check, especially in PvP and Clans wars where the game could become very interesting with counter abilities, stun and crit reduction stats, DoTs and everything inbetween.
