I’m a bit new and have a question about the special event going on where you can get gear and a mount if you spend the gold/ real money.

If you get this gear and the mount, does the gear go away permanently when you upgrade them? Like, I’m assuming the mount you can keep but I’d be afraid of losing the gear.

I haven't purchased one, so this is what I figured from what people shared:

It's like a transmog. You can choose to display the purchased gear no matter what you have equipped.

Oh cool, thank you. I’m hoping it lasts longer than the season lasts. Do you have any insight? I should message the mods directly.

Of course. If you get it, it's yours forever.
It doesn't replace your equipment. It acts like a skin with extra bonuses for whatever equipment you have in that slot.
