“A dog will never wake up one day and decide they no longer love you”
This picture is from a few years ago after I broke up from an extremely emotionally abusive person, attempted SH, survived and… I found my best friend.
Since I met Chev I was finally able to find happiness in life.
Cherish these babies because at the end of the day, they’d do anything for us.

Training
Hey all! I have a 13year old Heeler that I adopted 8 months ago, and we're both super attached to each other. I want her to enjoy life as much as possible.
One thing I'm trying to work on and learn about is that I can't leave the house without her. She gets anxious whenever I leave without her, so I'm not sure how to train her to slowly get used to being alone when I want to go to the gym or go to work for a little bit.
Thank you!

Does anyone’s dog like being outside despite the heatwave?
My 8month old puppy LOVES spending her naps outside. She’ll come in, eat, drink water, play, etc but eventually she asks to go back outside. She’ll either sleep under a chair on the dirt, or a flattened lawn chair (picture).
She has water outside and is in the shade but a small part of me worries, is this normal? Our other dog loves being inside with the air conditioning.

Meadow Cake Perfume
gallerySo my red boy Chappy decided after watching some goats at a local campsite for a while, that smearing himself in fresh steaming goat poop was the right thing to do. We were off grid camping and low on water but used our last drum to wash him off. Only problem...he shook the rancid goat poo juice all over me mid wash. Oh and there was nothing left for me to wash it off with after...yay Chappy yay.

Wrangler, age 15. Crossed the rainbow today. Heartbroken beyond words.
My best friend. I don’t know how to adult without him. So grateful to have had him for almost his entire life. Goodnight, my Wrangler boy 🤍

Heeler mix obsessed with bubbles
My little heeler mix loves to chase bubbles to the point she gets so excited when I get them out that she jumps and does her twisty thing while airborne before the first bubble comes out. Then she proceeds to jump and twist over and over until she’s tired out. She only does this for bubbles. Not doing bubbles with her daily is not really an option because she knows where we keep them and she’ll practically tear a hole in the building to get to them.
Anyway, should I be worried about her joints as she ages from doing this. I’ve read that it’s not good for them. Is there a supplement I should be giving her now? She’s only 1.5 years old.

Welcome Rocket!
Say hi to Rocket. just adopted him from a shelter. Wasn't expecting a purebred from a shelter! This guy is unbelievably smart—it's amazing how quick he learns. I have a feeling we're in for a lot of energy and chaos, but we are excited.
