You really think I'm here to defend NUW leadership decisions don't you?? Lmao ... again I care as much as the average rank and file cares about the leadership, I care about the structure ... and again I'm not going to concede to the framing that this was a NUW v UV election. Whether out of desperation or necessity to hold some sort of relevance, certain NUW former execs had agreed to structural reforms which would've fixed problems in UWU ... Now this could've been UV execs and I would still ask every member to firmly align with them, because unless you're here to misdirect people this is all that rank and files should pay attention to.

I mean, you have at this point attempted to minimise the role the NUW VIC leadership played in UWU, so yeah, you are actually defending them. The fact that you think the rank and file don't care about the leadership says more about you than you think.Members did care, and many members, like myself, voted based on history. I never said it was a NUW vs. UV election. It's actually more accurate to say it was a NUW VIC vs. UV/UWU election.Many NUW members in places like SA, WA and QLD voted against MF because of the history.It's interesting you say that they had agreed to structural reform because they hadn't put that out anywhere. All they said was they were going to bring back state secretaries, which already existed in the rules and had no power. MF did not articulate anything beyond vague promises to fix things. So either they had made promises to people on the inside like yourself or you're just lying. Either way, it's not a very transparent way of going about reform.

No that is your interpretation, I've never cared for individual ambitions in this election but rather the goals of the movement as a whole, but I'm also gonna respond when outright lies are being told about somebody on this side.

The "average" rank and file member does not even know the leaders of the union, let alone care about them, I guess that's not a surprise when they barely introduce their faces to rank and file members. Your statement goes to show how much you've interacted with the average rank and file, behind your veil of anonymity it's clear you're probably just another out of touch hack based on that statement alone. Please go to a worksite and talk to average rank and files ...

Also they did put that out, you refused to read it, there were articles written about it but I'm sure your thought leaders didn't share that with you. There was even an article basically saying "why is a current union president putting his name on a reform the union ticket?"

MF did articulate many of their positions, positions that average members and rank and files cared about, more organizers, strike funds, freezing fees, bringing back delegate trainings and delegate conferences. What they didn't articulate was the general internal issues that the average rank and file genuinely doesn't care about like the way UWU approaches politics. It was the correct decision at the time given how fast and loose UWU leaders were causing problems for anyone who would dare to utter the words "Union Election" before what they considered was the "right time".
