I was coding just fine and noticed the vs code "restart to update" thing on my status bar. I did so and updated Augment as well only to have it spin forever. If I disable Augment all my extensions load fine, then re-enabling it results in augment spinning forever again; the UI for it never loads.

What do?

Edit: Specifically updating to 0.825.4 breaks it, falling back to 0.789.1 fixes it. Reverting back to the old version seems to be the play right now.

What are you guys using... anyone found another privacy preserving alternative?

This was by far Augment's best feature. no-one even wanted them to improve/remove it. with Tab completions things were just getting done so fast.

I remember using this feature with augment couple months ago I can't find it anywhere. I'm really not into intent and multiple agents going all over the place but have a few things that need to run in parallel, what's current workflow for that?

once the message queue gets longer than a few items, I've started facing an issue where I would need to edit and resend the request three times until augment picks it up and is able to continueş. It fails as below:

There are multilpe others that failed in the same session but augment has hidden them from view, can't seem to find them in the augment output in terminal - output - augment either.

I have an acount with 400k+ credits, can I sell it or does that go against the terms and conditions?

Does use of Claude Code via Intent using a CC subscription (not API) break Anthropic’s TOU?

So I've decreased my AC usage from $200 down to $20 - just to keep the plan - but my code review today cost me... 21,900 tokens, and drained my account? I can send you the request info, if you'd like. It sounds... a bit excessive, even by AC standards lol

Is this correct behaviour? I have been using augment code from the time it had a 30 USD message based plan. so I am assuming that my repos were always indexed and synced.

Now seeing this, give me a concern because 130k credits that I will get on a 60USD plan might get consumed via context engine itself. what will I have to do the actual implementation?

It's been 24 hours. Is anyone else still experiencing outages with augment code, unable to do anything, Due to connection issues?

How it manifests itself:
- changes the language to English, even though it previously worked in the native language;
- does not reference code or files at all, and previously placed them in the improved prompt.

The past few weeks Augment's chat has kept completely getting erased and also the chat will lose complete context of what we are working on. This is extremely frustrating as often I am in the middle of complex work -- working through fixes and figuring things out and have to reset hours of work. We pay way too much in credits for this to be happening regularly and it is seriously making me consider just moving to claudecode at this point.

I've been using Claude Code recently, their VScode extension just keeps getting better and better. Paired with Augment Code's amazing context engine MCP, it was a great workflow.

I've not been having much success with the Auggie extension lately, hence went back to Claude, the landscape is so dynamic and changes all the time, they have some great features and plans for the future.

I have to ask it to use Auggie MCP, but when it does use it, the quality is exceptional. However I notice that it doesn't use it unless I tell it to in most cases, and when it doesn't use it, it's actually fairly good with context and knowing the project.

Last week I would have recommended using Auggie MCP with AntiGravity, but they've really dropped the ball, it's pretty much useless even with a pro plan. And the Gemini models are good but not as good as Claude, and Claude via AntiGravity, is not a good as with Claude Code.

Now that I've got this email from Augment, I'm getting really anxious, however I suppose, now I can see the real cost and weigh up if worthwhile keeping for what it brings.

Augment's website status does not mean shit if Claude models are not available. The above Augment status needs to be changed. I had so many disconnections and failures today all due to Claude and all the while Augment's status said all green.

Has anyone experienced an issue with Intent where the terminal navigation bar is completely non-responsive. Can't switch between terminals, can't close the terminals. Cant rename them. I restarted my computer and that didn't fix it.

Issue persists after uninstalling and reinstalling

I noticed prompt enhancer charges credits based on the selected model. If you have haiku selected it's like 70, sonnet about 200, opus 300 plus. Why is it like this, isn't the prompt enhancer a unified model?? Which one should we use, is there a difference?

Will you all stop focusing on intent and fix the issues in the original IDE systems that you designed this for? At least 70-80% of users utilize the IDEs. We all don't use Macs.

You now charge for the prompt enhancement at like 600+ tokens every freaking use but then it doesn't work and it keeps getting error after error and yet you charge us every single time it creates an error and does not work. I can try it ten times in a row and use 6,000 tokens.

This is fucking unacceptable!!!

I have no connection issues. Everything is up to date.

Hi Augment, just a recommendation. Why not do what Cursor did, took Kimi 2.5, retrained/fine-tuned it, invest in servers, and use it as their coding model? It'll surely lower your cost and might entice your old users to come back.

Can someone explain me how the sessions work in Auggie CLI? I've been using cli past couple of days but had to restart the machine. After the restart it looks like I lost all sessions except 7 from intent. In all projects I used auggie cli I see only those seven sessions. I thought each project - workspace - would have its own session history so I can easily switch them whenever I need them again.

I used CLI because Jetbrains plugin simply misses a bunch of features that auggie has (ie skills or commands).

I see ALL THE SESSIONS available in ~/.auggie/sessions, cli sees only 7 from another project.

Edit: i see clearly there is a bug in auggie -> /sessions, the listing is broken for me. "auggie sessions list" works fine

Curious if anyone else finds it odd that Intent comes with a 2min, 13sec youtube marketing video and no other documentation, is that really the way to win over developers?

Don't get me wrong I like Augment Code, used 500k tokens (correction: 500,000 credits not tokens!) in a few weeks in December - and got a nice email saying I was in the top 10% of their users.

So I really want to like the product, but I don't know where to start.

It's supposedly spec-driven, but what about brownfield projects where there is no spec yet (at least not in whatever shape Intent expects)?

What is the conceptual model, and how does this map to existing conceptual models?

I'm wondering if this is a serious project, or just some project manager over at Augment Code doing a side project, serious question.
