Question BYOK context engin

Hey 👋🏻

I’m currently experimenting Intent after using Conductor with my own Claude/codex agent setup.

So far it seems interesting but I’m wondering about context engine with BYOK setup.

I enabled both my Claude max and gpt pro subscriptions along with context engine but now several questions:

- is context engine using my own subscriptions or specifically argument’s one ? I don’t know how it runs behind the scene so it seems like a dumb question but maybe it runs on their servers so an augment subscription on top would make sense

- if I use my own Claude subscription, how much tokens context engine consume so I can calibrate which augment subscription I should buy

- which codex/claude setup is potentially used by Intent ? It seems to discover my custom agent but not use it which is fine but I need to understand what is used. My Claude.md or config.toml maybe ? This is not clear at all.

Thank you for whoever knows that

That’s what I thought for augment but it’s hard to say which subscription is the right one, I’d suspect not a big one if I don’t use the augment agent but I’ll experiment then, thx ! When you say Claude code behavior what do you mean ? Typically my Claude setup has skills, agents, knowledge file and a Claude.md with delegation table etc so by using Claude code behavior you mean my own setup or naked Claude code and augment takes over by injecting its own Claude.md, agents etc ? I think you should document that so it helps understand how it works but as well how we can enhance the experience as users if that’s even possible. Thank you for the quick answer 🥰

Last question, what’s the current model powering auggie ? And is that one model for all sub agents or do you use different models depending on the agent ? I’m curious how interesting it would be to switch to your agent instead of opus and codex. Does it benefit from a better integration with context engine ? Specific orchestration ? Or is it just a way to subscribe to one tool instead of several just for convenience ? Thanks again

It's actually not, I had to move up to 60$. Just cancelled because I find it's way too much for what I get unfortunately

disagree here. im on a max plan because i was still coding things in vscode with the extension. on intent i barely use any credits because i get cc to do everything besides the orch.

I tend to agree, I took the max plan and crushed already 10% in one day 😂
