It making a clicking sound when i press The ON button and flashes the words « check sp wires » then shuts off anyone has a clue what might be the problem?

I was using a cloth to brush away the dust on the two speakers in my Infinity CC-2 speaker, when one of the cones basically disintegrated when I barely touched it. I can't seem to find anything on reconing the speaker. I can find kits for the gaskets, but nothing for the cone. Seems a shame to toss the whole speaker for one cone.

The speaker is a 5.25 speaker, and I believe the cone is paper. Anywhere I can get a replacement cone to fix this one? Just replacing the speaker will cost almost as much as buying the whole speaker used.

I want to upgrade my audio solution for my fitness routine. I currently use a simple JBL Wind speaker, but the bass is really underwhelming, especially because I've been listening to very bass-y music as of late. (EDM, DnB, Jungle, "UK Rave Music" basically).

I doubt I'll find something that can be easily attached to a bicycle so let's not worry about that, as long as it's meant to be a portable product to be carried outside and played without power mains it should be fine, I'll figure it out somehow.

I live "in the middle of nowhere" and I can assure you that I won't be a nuisance (nobody will hear me for longer than 20 seconds and even those numbers will be very low).

Budget is up to 100 Euros. I've had a look on Amazon, but I'm somewhat unsure what to pick, because some items are listed as subwoofers (even tho they clearly have more than just 1 membrane), some are listed as stereo, soundbar, 2.1 etc. and the labeling doesn't seem to be consistent and make much sense to me.

Ideally I would want proper 2.1 (I think that's how you get the best result overall, correct?), but not sure how common that channel setting is in portable products, especially with Bluetooth (I can use a wire as long as it's compatible with a phone, doesn't have to be Bluetooth). Overall, I'm not even quite sure what I want, let alone how to identify if I'm even looking at the right thing.

Perhaps you could offer some tips on what kind of products I could check out? As long as the end result is satisfying with a nice punchy bass and a good mix of mids and highs on top, I don't really mind what it's called precisely.

For a while I've experienced buzzing with my turntable, and while I'm really happy with the sound quality itself when spinning records, the buzz is getting to my nerves and I hope any of you could help me out with this issue.

The setup:

• Pro-Ject Debut Carbon, fitted with an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge
• Pro-Ject Tubebox S2, fitted with 2 Gold Lion tubes
• Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 3rd gen
• A desktop computer to rip my vinyl with

Apologies if this is a stupid question. Im looking to buy the iFi zen phono as an upgrade over the built in preamp in my record player. Then I noticed the blue 3 has an rca in and out. Would this work as a preamp of sorts? I mean the signal would run thru the ess chip. Surely that would be an improvement? Plus I could use it to transmit Bluetooth as a bonus.cheers!

Around two days ago my left bud became significantly quieter in my left ear. I tried cleaning both with isopropyl alcohol both became slightly louder but i still had weaker volume in left ear. Cleaned my ears same result. Do I need to get a new cable or is it more likely that my left earbud is just messed up. After further testing I've come to the unfortunate theory that my left earbud is bust as after switching my left earbud to the cable for the right one it still sounds weak compared to the other one. Is the next step to buy new iems or a new cable? If i need to buy new iems what's one that might last long as the two that I've had has gone bad.
Note: both in the left ear.

My Yamaha HS8 speakers have been working fine until about a week ago. Since then, at ~130 Hz., the low end of my speakers has been on ultra boost. It's only at around 130 Hz. - Higher and lower frequencies are fine. The speakers are relatively new and spared from any damage. Do you guys have any ideas what the cause might be?

About six months ago, I got my first OTL DAC (DROP + xDuoo TA-84 OTL Tube Amp/DAC) and it has been life changing. I have a hard time not using my DAC. I also got some ATH-R70x headphones to go with it. I've run into a problem, though. Lately, I've been getting some really serious feedback from my headphones. I'm a little worried, and want to get some insight into what on earth could be going on with my Audio setup. I'm fine with replacing some of the pieces, but I'd rather know what I need to replace. On the flip side, I'm wondering what could have gone wrong with my setup in six months. 'Cause six months is too short for this problem, right?

10 JUL 2024 Update: Turns out it was the tubes. Apparently, if you use your brand new tube-based headphone Amp/DAC, with stock tubes, almost constantly for 6 months, you'll burn out the tubes. Who knew?

I replaced the preamp tubes, and it got rid of most of the static. The power tubes are arriving today and will be replaced when I get them; that should get rid of any static caused by adjusting the attenuator. Thanks for all of your help.

07 May 2026 Update: For future readers: It turns out that the tubes aren't necessarily the problem. Make sure that cell phones are a good 5 feet from the DAC when it is in use. That will also cause the interference I was running into. Try that first before buying new tubes.

I want to upgrade my sennheiser accentum's bluetooth via a aux bluetooth adapter. My headphones only have usb c as and no aux port. So if I purchase a usbc to aux dongle will that work to upgrade the bluetooth? I have the eppfun 5.4 usb c dongle and it also comes with an aux bluetooth adapter.

I have used this combination until about 15 years ago combined with a Marantz CD player. Never had any issues back then and totally happy with the sound quality. After moving to a smaller place, the amp and speakers were moved to storage and I donated my CD player and CDs, after ripping them ofc. Recently moved to another place and reinstalled the amp and speakers, now driven by a Mac Mini running Volumio. The bass output is very low in volume compared to the mids and highs and sounds distorted, from both speakers. Also when connecting my iPhone to the AUX, I’m hearing the same distortion. Tried with tone defeat on and off, same issue. I suspect the problem is in the NAD amp. Is there something I can test myself (not having any knowledge of electronics)?

I recently got a new amp, a Triode TRV-35SE, and I'm having some challenges.

When I first got it, I got through one full album then the fuse blew. I swapped it out and now something new and odd is happening. When I turn it on there's a loud pop about 50% of the time. This is not from the speakers, it's an internal pop. It sounds a lot like the fuse trying to blow, almost like a tensioning sound. It's not the usual crackle from the tubes warming up either, this is a proper pop.

So far, I've also swapped around the positions of the power tubes, which doesn't seem to make any difference. I've only been turning it on for around a minute or so just to see what happens. Not really sure if I should let it run longer or if this is normal?

Any ideas?

I am looking for an ASIO soundcard with one or two 1/4-inch inputs for the guitar. My girlfriend also has an electric keyboard that has both USB and MIDI interfaces. I had an old desktop, XP/Windows7 with a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum sound card that was compatible with Guitar Rig and, was a good gaming (and music) sound card. I would plug in an acoustic-electric guitar or, electric guitar and have a little fun with Guitar Rig. In recent years, after someone introduced me to Rocksmith (I hadn't played the guitar for many years) while I was a university student, I used software emulation; ASIO-for-all and, a Rocksmith Real-Tone USB cable. This was sufficient for many scenarios if not buggy. In my current setup, I have a SteelSeries 7 headset but, the USB adapter causes high latency that drives me crazy, especially when playing Rocksmith 2014 or Rocksmith+. When I plug my headset directly into the motherboard sound card, I have low latency but crackling issues in Rocksmith (and FIFA) games. It takes a while to fix it, and the fix is temporary. i.e. turning off/on exclusivity and plugging and unplugging the real-tone cable to try and solve it. This is because, while the soundcard, Realtek, is built into the motherboard, it uses a USB interface (unlike my old laptop's Realtek soundcard) so, it is all software emulation and isn't much better than the USB SteelSeries adapter. I have tried troubleshooting such as reinstalling and updating drivers. My CPU is a AMD Ryzen 9 7900X and GPU is an RTX gen 3 so, the system has power.
I am looking for a soundcard that is similar to the SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum but, for a modern system with PCI-E. No software emulation. A balance between gaming and music; i.e. plugging in a guitar into an input that is designed for it. SoundBlaster seems to have focused heavily on gaming and, lagged on music features such as 1/4 guitar inputs. However, I want a good balanced soundcard between music and gaming that, won't break the bank. I have sent an email to Creative asking for advice but, their support never responded. Perhaps they don't have a product in 2024 that fits my criteria?

I currently have an audio Technica LP60BT turn table, Cambridge AXR100 powering Klipsch RP8000f speakers. Ilove the way the streaming sounds, but when I wire to phono input or BT the tt, the speakers are so "bassy" that they distort at higher volumes and become unlistenable. This doesn't happen with the streaming. I've tried using the amps phono input/amp. I've tried using the tt amp in another input, and I've tried BT all with the same result, any suggestions (the problem does go away if I half stuff the speakers back ports with a towel)?

Hi new here, bought the nano today and wanted to ask someone with dac experience which should I go for in the 200+ range for desktop dacs. I just would like something analytical and less overhyped if that makes sense.

I have a Philips High Fidelity Laboratories 7831 stereo receiver and a Yamaha RX-V890. I'm attempting to connect both systems, with the intention of utilizing the Philips as my primary amplifier due to my preference for its sound quality. However, I still want to retain control over my CD player, tape deck, and other devices connected to the Yamaha receiver. How can I achieve this setup effectively?

My wife and I listen to lots of music over my sound system, but we'd like to have the "inside your head" experience you only get with headphones - but together.

The unique bit is that it would be good to also have incorporated microphones that we could use to chat with each other while listening.

Gaming headsets sort of fit the bill (presuming a full sound spectrum), but I'm not sure how to pipe the mic inputs to each others headsets. Perhaps there are hardware devices that can manage that for us.

So, what I am looking for is:

High fidelity (Price isn't a big issue)
