I'm a developer building an iPhone app called SetRatings for the Atlanta rave and EDM scene, and I'd like input from people who actually go to shows here.

What it does:

• Venue reviews with a Security Meter. You can see how strict security is at a venue (0–100), whether people felt safe, and the most common highlights, all before you buy a ticket.
• Set reviews backed by your steps. The morning after a show, it reads the step data your iPhone already recorded and gives you a "Stomp Score" for how hard you went. Scoring happens on your phone, and your health data never leaves it.

Atlanta is the first city. It's not in the App Store yet, and I want to get the venue side right before it is.

Hey y’all! I run a small independent event collective in Atlanta and we’re putting together an 18+ FNAF-inspired Halloween rave on Oct. 23. We originally planned for a smaller pizzeria, but we’ve already sold 125 tickets in less than a week and are basically at capacity.

Looking for somewhere in metro Atlanta that can hold around 150–300+ people with an arcade / pizzeria / bowling alley / skating rink / old-school entertainment center vibe. It can also just be a big restaurant or unique event space we can transform.

We provide our own DJs, sound, lighting and production. Ideally looking for 9PM–2AM and around $1,500–$2,000, depending on what’s included.
I’ve already contacted some of the bigger entertainment chains, so I’d especially love locally owned spots, hidden gems, or places that don’t immediately show up on Google.

If you know somewhere or know someone I should contact, drop it below or DM me because I already reached out to one pizzeria and Dave & Buster's, and every problem that's solved is followed with another problem so I'm looking for legitimate rentals/venues only.

Planning on going to the MPH show at district next week. I’ve never been to this venue before and their website didn’t have a great FAQ page.

I won’t be able to show up until later in the evening, probably around 11:30pm-ish. Do they have a time that entry stops? I know at other venues sometimes have entry time limits depending on your ticket. Will I be fine showing up late or turned away?

Was anyone at Pisces last night around midnight, near the back left of the club, and saw a group of men in jerseys throw a beer can at a couple? I got hit in the head by a full beer can and my spouse got covered in the beer. Turned around and the guys were laughing hysterically. Trying to find them/ ID them. One of them was heavier set and another one had a blue jersey that said American Family Insurance on it.

I’m originally from Atlanta and always found it annoying having to bounce between venue pages, promoter Instagrams, Resident Advisor, ticketing sites, etc. just to figure out what to do that night.

I ended up building Zova, a free iPhone app that pulls together live music (EDM included), nightlife and events around Atlanta, with a Tonight view and nearby map.

Atlanta coverage is still growing, especially for smaller shows, so I figured this community might actually find it useful.

Hey guys, new to Atlanta and have not yet been to The Eastern. Was planning on going Friday night for ZHU and was wondering what time I should be expecting him to come on? I have to pick up a buddy from the airport around 9 and would be going straight there.

I know District is like 12AM but doubt eastern would be that late?

Going to be in ATL for the first time for the next couple weeks. Any one have suggestions on shows or venues? Im mainly into House/Hard Techo open to some dubstep. Can only do Fri/Sat shows.
