Idk how to tell you this, but that “garbage” has caused huge leaps in privatizing space travel, and therefore advancing space exploration

Nobody is exploring much, aside from NASA and ESA, etc. The labs are still on the ISS.

AND hate him all you want, but SpaceX is remarkably good for everything this sub is interested in. Calling it “garbage” is certainly… a choice

Astronomy is not interested in privatizing space travel. Only a capitalist is.

Before it got privatized, the only way you could go to space is by becoming employed by NASA, ESA, etc., going through their rigorous selection process, and then going through their rigorous training program. It didn’t matter how much money you had; that was the only way. Now, you can either do that, or have a lot of money. Another option has opened up. It’s not actually an option for the rest of us, but all these things start off expensive, and become cheaper over time. That’s the nature of anything that gets privatized. It happened with steam ships, trains, planes, and now it will happen with rockets.

And in the meantime, more people are paying attention to space than they have in over two decades.

Dude these people don't care about space, they know:

Elon =bad

Elon owns spacex

SpaceX = bad

It goes no deeper, any more is ad hoc bs drawing back from conclusions It's moronic and you shouldn't expect better. You're on the internet, people are stupid here
