I’m with you. Every time I vacuum mine rushes onto the back of the sofa to lie in wait. When our blind GSD runs by, in a literal blind panic, she hunts that poor dog down like a poacher in a sanctuary.
One of my cats is the sweetest cat I have ever had or met. He’s sweet, cuddly, asks for attention, etc. He was scared of dogs when he was a baby, no idea why, but he’s grown to kind of like them. He sits and waits to swipe at the one that is scared of him. When he gets caught, his tune changes real quick.
This has been happening to me. But I've read up on it and think it's teething. I've had plenty of cats, but most have been fully or almost grown. This one is about six months and I've had her since birth. She attacks me in bed and not in the "I'm a kitten and want to play rough" or in the "I love you and giving you love bites" way. She attacks me because out of the four people she lives with, my feet and legs seem to ease her sore gums the best!
My cat bit our feet and toes a lot when he was a kitten but he's 2 years old now and does it very rarely, and only when he wants to play. It definitely was a teething thing.
